The property was very clean, and the check in process was very easy. The room was clean and organized, and was worth it for the price. There is also nice amenities in the room such as cups, dishes, a dishwasher, a coffee machine etc (basically a whole kitchen).

Very cozy and unique place. Each room has its own “theme”. Seating areas outside the rooms and walking distance to the square downtown. It’s old, so don’t expect the Hilton, but it has so much character and the staff is awesome. We stay here every time we go to Ocala, which is 2-3 times a year! Not a chain hotel, so you’re supporting the average citizen and not making a millionaire richer.

We stayed in Ocala, Fl at a townhouse which was perfect for us. It was located close to lots of restaurants, Walmart, Silver Springs which we enjoyed the glass bottom boat tour & only 30 minutes to Juniper Springs which we enjoyed the 7 mile kayaking and swimming.

I liked everything, except they would not let me play in the open basketball she stated that I have to be a RESIDENT!!!! At the Olympia Rec. She was not to nice to my wife!! This was my second time visiting and I will be back!! I also went to alot of open house's almost ready to buy.

We had a wonderful experience at Silver Springs.

We had a wonderful experience at Silver Springs. This is a hidden gem. We thoroughly enjoyed the glass bottom boat ride. Our guide was very friendly and informative. The next day we went on a self guided kayak tour. We were blessed to see multiple manatees, alligators, birds, turtles and river otters. We had a great time!

I loved the size of the house, the full kitchen, and beautifully modern bathroom. The washing machine, dryer, and dish-washer all made for a comfortable, self-sufficient place that is also nice for longer visits. I loved the yoga mats, comfy beds and bedding, and beautiful views from the house! Watching the horses in their corrals but also watching them exercising in the arena was so cool! I recommend doing some grocery shopping on the way to the house to make sure you have what you need upon arrival and for your first morning so you can chill and just hang with the horses!

Everything was exceptional.

Everything was exceptional. Easy instructions to check in, house squeaky clean, host communication fast, soft towels, & bedding perfectly clean and comfortable. House felt like a 4 star hotel with all the little extras provided for you just in case you had forgotten something, down to a toothbrush and toothpaste. Even a few things in the kitchen like coffee, creamer, & a couple little liquor shooters (kind of like a minibar) in the freezer as an extra little treat. Oh and can’t forget the board games & card games just in case you needed some extra entertainment! This host thought of everything to make us comfortable during our stay! This is pinned for one of our absolute repeat staycation rentals for some local time away from home while feeling at home… and we can’t wait for the next visit, just saving up the funds to be able to stay longer! Only thing missing was some outdoor seating, lounging area, or fire pit. However this house seemed so newly listed it very well may already be in the works for the future!

Although it is a nice area, there is not much to do unless you play golf. For activities or excursions, its quite a drive. The closest shopping is Ocala, a 30 min drive. It is a very quiet community, so if you just want to lay by a pool all day, this is your spot. The nearest beach is 1.5 hours. I did not realize this was a 55+ community when I booked the house, which explains the vibe. Watch out for golf carts, there are more of them than cars :)

Silver Springs State park.

Silver Springs State park. Beautiful place to visit, must do the glass bottem boat trip, was wonderful, the water is crystal clear and were lucky enough to see manatee's. Only did the 1/2 hour trip as last minute booking and short on time as had to travel to Tampa. Advise do the longer trip 1 1/2 hr trip. Not much else in Silver Springs.

In a conversation after our stay, Julia, the manager, stated that the property is under new ownership and they are renovating it. There were definite improvements in the unit we stayed. For example, the bathroom was newly done; the ceiling fan and comfortable mattress were a plus in the bedroom; in the kitchen we found a full, spacious refrigerator and a microwave. The noise from the traffic over a bridge nearby and current air conditioning unit in the bedroom might bother some but not all guests. Finally, the manager also said she was willing to accommodated our needs and would have upgraded us had we requested it. So, it looks like they are going in the right direction to provide a good stay for guests.

Ocala is a very busy and weird place on one side you have nothing but horses and farms and traffic and on the other side you've got drug addicts criminals and Farms with lots of traffic you can't get anywhere it's ridiculous it's like being in Fort Lauderdale there's nothing to do except a few things. One of the best places is the zipline Park that's pretty amazing and they run all sorts of specials the Springs are nice Rainbow River is nice there are amazing sunsets and sunrises from really anywhere. Shalom Park is very nice.
