Our stay was amazing. The food especially at their restaurant was delicious it was handy that we could organise tours as well through their reception which made everything easy. We wished we had stayed a bit longer!

This was a great little gem in Tanna, run by a family. Phillip in particular was awesome. Once you arrive the places that you are looking to go (Yasur volcano, Port Resolution, John Frum sing sings, seeing a kastom village, Sulphur Bay hot springs etc) are sorted out for you as part of groups of tourists already there, plus other local things along the way you may not have noticed but are cool/interesting to visit. We went to an amazing circumcision ceremony when we were there, money couldn’t buy that. We found prices compared to Tanna overall quite reasonable. If you get the treehouse room you can see the volcano from your bed.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Phillip and Susanna! The treehouse was like something out of a fairytale and so close to the volcano. Its such a special feeling when the volcano erupts and you feel and hear it so strongly. It truly felt like the real Vanuatu being at one with the locals, such an authentic experience. Thank you!!

Charlie is a very good host , knows everyone on the island and can arrange , tours , flights to accomodate any of your needs . He and his family were so hospitable , it was the highlight of my stay on Tanna to stay with them , they have a beautiful beach just 10min walk which the village children love to play in , the water is crystal clear . I love the hut it’s a tradition style and the food was beautiful , organic and fresh which his wife makes over traditional wood fire . I highly recommend staying with Charlie and using his tours . Not to forget Tom his driver who knows his stuff when it comes to four wheel driving through the volcanic ash plains and rivers to get to the top of the volcano . ( Charlie is a math teacher at the village school , supplies are limited on the island so recommend brining some stationary , pens , crayons , books ect )

For the price on this remote island, it was great. You will expect to see some dirt and spiders. It is not a boujee resort. It’s a lovely, quiet and beautiful self managed stay and it was perfect

Fantastic cultural immersion, living in a small rural community. Dicksen and his family were really friendly and helpful. Location was great with views of Mt Yasur from our balcony. Lovely walks to waterfall and ash plains. A great off the grid experience, bumpy ‘roads’ no power and sporadic water supply, perfect for 2-3 nights to interact and learn local traditions. Food was plentiful, freshest coconut I have ever had, literally straight from the tree. We were able to stop on the way from airport to get fresh fruit, bring bottled drinking water too.

Located at Ipak Bay, North Tanna, Rockwater Resort features a private beach and landscaped gardens. Return airport transfers are included upon request from the property.

The location is superb right on the beach. The bungalow is clean and has comfortable beds. The garden is well maintained. The staff is very kind and did everything to make us feel good. They helped us with the transfer to the airport and with the organization of an excursion. Thank you!
