We had a wonderful stay at an unexpected gem in the "middle of nowhere". It was a great surprise although we read about Welgelegen Manor in deciding to stay there, to make this discovery. Welcome was very friendly and insightful about the history of the place. Everything is very clean and all amenities offered very thoughtful as it should be for a five star establishment. Lots of attention to small detail. There are lots of detail and a lot of history that is fascinating. We highly recommend when in the area or for a stopover to the game reserves and Mpumalanga.

With garden views, Pepe Piatto Lodge is situated in Grootvlei and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, outdoor pool and terrace. Complimentary WiFi is provided.

Spacious, clean, safe, beautiful views. Everyone at the establishment were friendly. Very accommodating. They setup gazebos for us when we were braai-ing at the pool. Guest house was cleaned daily. Nice, big kitchen.

The unit we stayed in had its own private POOL in it,everything was clean and the staff was super helpful and friendly! The unit is a short walk away from the waters edge and there’s an outdoor pool,jungle gym and table tennis that families can keep themselves busy with-as well as braai facilities right in front of our room! Myself,boyfriend and my dad had a super time and we will definitely be back soon!

The comfort, space, it felt like a home away from home. Excellent for kids entertainment When not in the mood to cook, the restaurant was there. I loved everything about the place and would definitely go back. Very peaceful, the green space. Waking up the dam was out of a dream.
