The location was safe, quiet and close to the airport. The facility was outstanding. It was comfortable and fabulous at the same time. The staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect. The chef prepared an outstanding breakfast and a wonderful dinner for our family. It was so great we changed our reservations on our return trip and stayed two extra days there. The proximity to the lake was a bonus and we took advantage of it and walked around it to relax. We also had massages in the spa.

You’re going to think it’s weird but… I always wanted to try a South African Sun 1, in Belgium we call them Formul 1, just to compare and I can clearly say that the South African version is even better (private bathroom was so lekker!!!). For me those hotels are synonyms of beginning of vacation, when you stop for the night along the road on your way to Holliday, and that was clearly that warm and comfy feeling from my childhood I had at Sun 1! Not disappointed at all. Comfy place, clean, adorable staff, quiet,… I’ve nothing negative to say.

This venue is truly exquisite and the grounds are in immaculate condition. It also doubles as a wedding venue. There is even a beautiful pond with swans ! We booked several rooms for our family many months ago and with there being so many of us, dates changed and were added and some changed again. Through this all the team were so gracious and responded to all my requests and questions immediately. Not once being irritated with my changes but always being so understanding and accomodating our every need. The rooms are beautiful with attention to even the smallest little detail. We were so impressed ! My husband keeps telling everyone just how impressed he is :) We also had breakfast served in our room and it was absolutley fantastic. We ordered on both mornings that we were there. Kudos to everyone here at Gracias de Dios - you have created a beautiful gem.
