Our family holiday was absolutely wonderful, especially for the kids! Everything was conveniently located and within easy reach, making it so stress-free for us as parents. The kids had plenty of activities to keep them entertained, and all the facilities were close by. The layout of the place was incredibly well thought out, with everything placed just where you needed it. It truly made our family getaway seamless and enjoyable for everyone!

Beautiful home, short walk to many shops & restaurants in Clarens. The kitchen, lounge & dining rooms were all open-plan space that was perfect for our family trip to spend time together in especially those rooms. Loved the indoor bbq-area next to the kitchen. The home is beautifully decorated. Beds were very comfortable. Big garden that the kids enjoyed. Amazing views of the mountains in the distance.

I had a wonderful stay at the lodge, I loved it from the moment I walked in. I received a very warm welcome from the host and the staff were very friendly and professional. The lodge has breathtaking views and a well taken care of garden. My room was cosy and had everything I needed. With the price I paid, the lodge definitely exceeded my expectations.

We were friendly greeted and immediately felt so welcome. The whole house was so beautifully decorated, clean and smelled so nice. Everything was working properly and in good condition. The linen and towels were clean, soft and fresh. Everything was just awesome, and we had a great stay. We will definitely go back soon.

The room was incredibly clean. Things were put in place for items in the room to be cleaned daily if needed. The owners were incredibly accommodating when booking the room. The room and whole area had a homely feel to it. Even with other people staying close, there were never any noise issues.

The host was very responsive. Fresh milk on arrival for tea and coffee is always an impressive and thoughtful detail. The room had everything we could want and the restaurant next door was superb so we didn't use the self catering facilities.

Clarens is a beautiful, quite and relaxed place, that is...
Clarens is a beautiful, quite and relaxed place, that is rich in history and humility. The people are friendly, and the atmosphere is so relaxed. The area just brought back a whole lot of childhood memories due to a lot of old equipment found in the place. The drives around the mountainous area, breath taking. The local food and Craft beers were enjoyable as well.

Cleaning staff serviced my room every day and very helpful
I admired the good old antique furniture on the hotel
What I did not like:
No coffee facilities inside rooms
TV in room poor reception and only two boring channels
One evening waiters were cold to me and ignoring me when asking for menu and I waited long before they served me

Beautiful time with family and board games.

If you’re someone who loves nature, Clarens is an absolute must-visit! There is so much to see, do, and experience. The hikes were truly out of this world, with breathtaking scenery at every turn. The restaurants were fantastic, offering great food and a wonderful atmosphere, and the overall vibe of the town was warm, vibrant, and full of life.

Bethlehem is a small town.
Bethlehem is a small town. It is not far from CLARENS and GOLDEN GATE. You can drive to these two places in less than an our. We spent the whole day in CLARENS and bought some few items. We had our lunch there and walked around without fear of being mugged. There is a very good security; there was a security company patrolling around.

We were disappointed with the shops.
We were disappointed with the shops. We would have loved more quality arts and craft by local artists. The glass was absent that we saw on our previous visits. It seems as though Clarence caters more for the drinking crowd. Although it make sense for profit we would hate to see the art go to waste.
