SingaporeWell located in town, but not in the hustle and bustle, so close enough to be super convenient and have good views, but not in the middle of it all. Staff was exceptional, helpful, professional and friendly. Some stand out staff names Brenden (check in), Steve and Wandile(wait staff). Hotel is small, well maintained and beautiful. I would recommend staying in the larger rooms - Mona Lisa room is excellent with its own terrace.

LesothoVery easy to locate and stone throw from the square. The room was spacious and neat. We booked late at night while we were an hour out of town and the owner was responsive. He called to give us warning on the road conditions leading to Clarens and re-routed us accordingly. The room and beds were kept warm prior to out arrival. It’s a pity we were passing through the town and couldn’t stay longer! Will definitely visit for longer stay to enjoy the space

Great property and host. The farm is a modern and peaceful place allowing you to kick back and relax. Hannetjie is very responsive and helpful and so is the rest of the staff on the farm. We would definitely come back.

Clarens is special.
Clarens is special. Always good to visit and the people for me are what makes the place even more enjoyable. They are welcoming and helpful. It is a mixture of the old and new all preserved in good conditions. The food is affordable and different accommodation is available for all. Next visit I will try not to visit when it is too cold though the accommodation did have very good heating system, but iyoh it can can chilly.

Cleaning staff serviced my room every day and very helpful
I admired the good old antique furniture on the hotel
What I did not like:
No coffee facilities inside rooms
TV in room poor reception and only two boring channels
One evening waiters were cold to me and ignoring me when asking for menu and I waited long before they served me

A place away from the hustle bustle of a city, take your food as there aren’t any eating places during weekend.
Beautiful time with family and board games.
Wish we could stay longer.

Not your usual town with common retail stores.
Not your usual town with common retail stores. Very unique, laid back and clean town with arts and crafts shops every where. Perfect for a quiet time out. However no tourism office in the town. Info about where to find things is disjointed, not enough info on the internet (three websites which it turns out none of them is official), one had to go there physically to obtain info of things to do.

Bethlehem is a small town.
Bethlehem is a small town. It is not far from CLARENS and GOLDEN GATE. You can drive to these two places in less than an our. We spent the whole day in CLARENS and bought some few items. We had our lunch there and walked around without fear of being mugged. There is a very good security; there was a security company patrolling around.

Such a beautiful,quiet town.
Such a beautiful,quiet town. Lots of character and the scenery around the town is stunning. Really makes one appreciates nature. Plenty of places to eat and suit all tastes. You find it difficult to choose an restuarant!
