The attention to detail, the design, the hospitality, the views, the amenities, literally everything was exceptional. To top it off there were zebras in the estate too!
But in all honesty, it was the nicest hotel / lodge I have ever stayed at. Pichy and Bjorn have honestly thought of it all and it honestly goes to show.
The food, the experiences and their communication was 11/10.
I would recommend Pure Sea Boutique Lodge to all. I really do hope that I will be back !

The supersized cottage accommodated the family and allowed for privacy. Mary, the host is pleasant and accommodating.
Access to the beach, the caves and nature reserve allowed one to fully appreciate the beauty of Arniston.

We were in Agulhas for two nights.
We were in Agulhas for two nights. The first evening we went for a pre-dinner drink at Zuidste Kaap Restaurant and afterwards to Gavin's Trattoria where we enjoyed great Italian food.
We woke up to cold and rainy weather the next morning and decided to book the fireside table at Zuidste Kaap for our evening meal. It turned out to be a very clever decision, because it drew many an envious glance from the surrounding tables! Everything was just right...the atmosphere, the food , the friendly waiters and even the music was perfect.

Friendly people, safe and clean town. Variety of good restaurants available. Various places to visit. Great beach area with safe swimming area. Close to Agulhas and Arniston areas with places to visit. Continuous strong winds can limit your outdoor activities.

Arniston is a beautiful natural area and if you like hiking...
Arniston is a beautiful natural area and if you like hiking and whale watching it is perfect for a holiday. We visited the Waenhuiskrans Cave which was amazing. We ate at Willeen's restaurant in Kassie's Bay and the fish was absolutely amazing, so reasonable and so fresh. We used Arniston as a base to visit Bredasdorp, with its lovely coffee shops, very interesting Shipwreck Museum, Dutch Reformed church, and the candle shop, and also had a day trip to De Hoop Nature Reserve, which is only just over an hour away. If you have a car there are many interesting places within a short driving distance - Struisbaai, Cape L'Agulhas lighthouse, etc.

A lovely little town which we visit every year to take part in the Voet of Afrika race.
It could really do with some nice restaurants though...
On a Saturday night only 1 restaurant open (former Flames grill) and was empty!

De Hoop Nature reserve has it all: great views, great plants, great antelope and birds. The accommodation is somewhat out of our budget but we used the winter discount and it was such a priviledge to be there.

Napier is a lovely, quaint country town in the Overberg.
Napier is a lovely, quaint country town in the Overberg. An easy and scenic two-hour drive from Cape Town and twenty minutes away from Arniston, which has one of the best beaches in the world. Farms stalls, art shops, and restaurants. My favourites are:
"Just Looking" for Art and Collectables;
"Restio" country guest house for accommodation;
"Bistrot" for breakfast;
"Pascals" for lunch or dinner.

Great location. Amazing beach, ocean and rockpools.
Great location. Amazing beach, ocean and rockpools. The house is basic but clean and well equipped. A minor problem was resolved very fast by the hosts . Nice brewery in a walking distance. Cute , well stocked supermarket - also very close.

Some good walks around.
Some good walks around. The main attraction is the most southern point in Africa which is a focal.point for holiday photos for people from all.over the world.
San Parks have upgraded the facilities at Aghulus and the site opens in April 2026.

Struisbaai is a quiet fishing port.
Struisbaai is a quiet fishing port. It has limited interest but great connection to nature, great walks, we saw the stingrays. It is noted as being Africas most southern point and has a great beach bar as well as some decent eateries
