CanadaWhat's not to love?? Amazing views, wonderful staff and facilities. We booked an ocean view cabin and it was roomy, clean, and comfortable. I have celiac disease and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed for cooking and that meals were safely prepared in therestaurant. My husband went quadding and loved it. I wish we had booked more time- we will be sure to come back.

United KingdomThe staff were incredible - so welcoming, made us feel very much at home. We arrived in a storm and they couldnt do enough to try to settle us in and make sure we were comfortable. The room was warm. The food was amazing with beautiful flavours and staying at the Hives was an absolutely incredible experience that I will always keep with me. There were lots of activities to choose from as well. I cannot recommend highly enough - one of the best parts of our visit to South Africa

We loved our stay at the beach house, amazing spot and lovely staff. Only issue was we got there having booked a family room to discover even tho we had put teens ages in they were too big for bunk room. We had to pay to get another room. Is an issue on line but doesn’t seem to have been rectified. Amazing place we will be back but booking two rooms next time.

Everything was top ! Easy to find, secure parking and a very warm and welcoming reception. Spacey rooms with huge balcony and seeview, top restaurants in walking distance an a stunning breakfast at the inhouse cafe direct at the beach.

We had a lovely one night stay and wished we’d stayed longer. We were kindly upgraded and the flat would be perfect for long and short stays. The beach is literally in the backyard. Very quiet and peaceful!

It was my first time staying there, and I really enjoyed it.
It was my first time staying there, and I really enjoyed it. The surroundings reminded me a lot of Hogsback, so peaceful and beautiful. Even though it was quite cold, we still had a lovely and enjoyable stay

The restuarants were very expensive EXCEPT the new place called "THE KITCHEN", which we would highly recommend and is excellently run, very pleasant staff, spotlessly clean, tastefully done out, an area for children and value for money. Lovely breakfasts, coffee and homemade cakes. "THE KITCHEN" is run by a husband and wife team. WELL DONE to them.

We only stayed for 1 night and we saw quite a few animals. The animals were moving right in front of our room, we could just sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. Birdlovers will also enjoy the stay, different birdsong were heard.

There are views of hills, vlei and ocean on 3 sides of this property. Two outside braais allows you to adapt to the wind direction and wall-to-wall glassdoors help manage temperature and ocean breeze.
2 living areas and two decks allow 8 people to live spaciously and freely. The layout is a mirror image with 2 bedrooms connected by an ensuite next to each living area - ideal for two families.
Don't forget the homemade roosterkoeke sold down the road.

Tsitsikama is close and we could enjoy the beautiful nature.
Tsitsikama is close and we could enjoy the beautiful nature. We did The Loerie and The Mouth trails.
Getting around Stormsrivier was easy.
The Royal shop in Stormsrivier surprised us with fresh products and food supplies.
We spend a pleasant time at the Spa at the Tsitsikama Lodge.

There are a few places that are closed are not available in...
There are a few places that are closed are not available in the off season. Beaches were quiet. It was nice and relaxing, but would suggest visiting in summer for more of a lively vibe. Uber and Bolt was not available so keep that in mind.

We walked around the beach and harbour - loved the views.
Only complain was some guests noisy late at night and early mornings, but otherwise happy and will for sure return to visit again
