Looked just like the pictures on the site. 3 air conditioned bedrooms made it super comfy for 5 guests. Really well kitted out kitchen and great indoor braai/dining room. Just round the corner from the Augrabies Falls National Park.

Have stayed here 4 times before, so we knew of the high standards & creature comforts. Super friendly staff & very helpful. This time, hubby had booked a luxury room near to the bar/restaurant; before we had a cottage, so had a separate bedroom. Super & well equipped. Lighting a bit weak. Beautiful position right by the lake & luscious green lawn...so welcome & appreciated after 4 weeks in the sandy & very ungreen arid parks. Brilliant that WiFi is now INCLUDED. I had always put this as being needed, so well done & thank you! Copious breakfast is available as an extra. We were lucky enough to be there on Wed evening, which is one of the famous pizza evenings. The place was buzzing with a wonderful atmosphere. Drinks are fairly priced. We are sure to be back... an excellent stop after Upington for Augrabies Falls & then onto Springbok.

Remote location where you learn about nature when there’s not much rainfall. It’s amazing. Also you’re in nature, beautiful sunsets and stars. Beautiful Kokerbomen (quivertrees). The house is very well equipped with a good shower, a comfortable bed and it’s very clean. There’s a kitchen that so you can self cater. We went there to visit the Augrabies NP which is a 50 minute drive away. But do contact the owner too: there are activities on the guest farm too, we did a sunset tour and got to see beautiful views. They made the remote accessible for my 78yo mom too with this tour. Hannecke one of the owners is (or has) an incredible cook, for an honest price she makes a meal so that’s something to ask about too. There are no G’s and the WiFi is just good enough to what’s app which is perfect way to deconnect without worrying your relatives

This lodge is truly in the middle of nowhere, but the journey is absolutely worth it. Even though the owners were overseas, they went above and beyond to arrange wonderful caretakers who looked after us so well—including preparing a lovely dinner. The view is out of this world, making the whole experience unforgettable.

We felt extremely welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible and did so with great professionalism. The accommodation is beautiful, and there is something truly special about spending time here. Springboks regularly pass by in front of the pool, which makes the experience even more unique. The kitchen is outstanding. Even when we were already full, we found ourselves looking forward to the next mealtime. We would absolutely recommend this place and will most certainly return.

was interesting to see the falls although it involves a long drive from Cape Town. We were amazed to find out how friendly and sincere the local people are. Kakamas was better than expected. Pofadder was a disappointment. Can somebody do something about the roads there?

After a long drive, it was welcome to see the lights but underwhelming would be an apt description. Having been spat on and sworn at (which included a reference to one's mother) in Klein Pella a short while before didn't do much for expectations. Charming inhabitants.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Augrabies area.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Augrabies area. We visited the Augbragies waterfalls, went on the game drive, visited Riemvasmaak and did river rafting on the Orange rivier. The area is a real treat, for us the distance between the places was something to get used to. Also, when travelling there, ensure that you have a jerry can that you can fill up with diesel. When we got to Augrabies and wanted to fill up, they were out of diesel and the closest petrol station is in Kakamas, 48km's further. Thankfully, we had a jerry can. Most people from the area are friendly and helpful. Other than that, pack comfortable clothes, shoes and an adventurous spirit.

The National Park is exceptional, as most National Parks are in South Africa. The curio shop was quaint and not too highly priced. Although the area experienced much rain, we could get around comfortably with our SUV. We had a good lunch at the restaurant. Service was excellent and friendly. We especially enjoyed the information and photos of previous floods at the main offices. The viewing areas were well-maintained even though some paths were closed for renovation. We still managed to see everything. Typically, one should spend about 20 minutes or more per viewing area in order to capture the beauty and tranquility of the park.
