Fantastic experience at Morgan Bay, so good we returned to M Bay, a week later, the day before we flew out from East London. As a bonus we got upgraded (Thanks you Nicola! at Reception) to a sea facing room next to the swimming pool. I think we were one of the few that used it that particular day, A tad windy just like home in Ireland. The facilities & room etc. were excellent & the staff couldn't have been friendlier. The Ernie Els red was sublime. Great experience also at the Spa, great way to while away an hour & feeling so refreshed after the pedicure & massage. Very nice touch having the Breakfast menu personalised with the guests names & a little info. on their stay etc. 10/10 for that. Next the food, breakfast was lovely with the freshly, a great array of food & the fried eggs done as we waited, a nice touch. Lovely slices of Cake to finish off. Enjoyed our snack at 6 in the bar before we headed in for a delicious seafood banquet with an array of fish & shellfish that was tricky to finish, but finish it we did, all washed down by the recommended white on the night by the attentive staff. Well worth the detour off the highway to this gem of a spot & all within an hour of East London. Do not miss the opportunity.

This was something else. We loved the forest suite, overlooking the trees and with birds and monkeys. The room (house actually) was huge. Very high level of service. Great dinner. Breakfast in our room was amazing. The massages were very good. Loved that you can walk to the beach from your room.

A small and secluded costal town with the most beautiful natural surroundings. Stunning sunrises over the ocean and sunsets over Morgan Bay Cliffs. Lots of hiking trails and a lovely beach and lagoon.

It is a place to slow a heartbeat, ideal for solitude and hiking. The beach is amazing - soft sand, uncrowded. Beach management must warn of quick sand though, plus when the tide is high the ocean and the lagoon next to it become 'one thing as ocean spills over and can be life threatening for visitors.

Unfortunately for us, it was windy each day of our stay. Our visit to the cliffs was great, but scary because of the blistering winds. The nearby grocery store had everything we needed. Saltys restaurant is very affordable, however as a vegetarian, there was nothing on the menu. Upon inquiry with the waiter, I was told that they could make a veg curry for me, however I declined. I am Indian, and I have curry at home daily and it's cooked with our home-made masalas. We visited the flea market on Saturday morning; it is very small yet well patronized. Overall, the visit was great for us. We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary on the 15th 0f October.
