The hotel is really close to nature: it’s in the middle of a nature reserve and animals are going through. The planning was amazing: 2 safaris of 3 hours each were scheduled every day. We saw all the animals possible (Big 5 several times). Thanks to our best guides: Freddy and Gabriel who made this experience exceptional.
In addition, the rooms were beautiful, the food really good and the hotel included 2 pools allowing the guests to relax fully.

The caretaker agreed to move us to a cottage with a lake view free of charge because that’s what we wanted upon arrival. The location is quite private and cosy, it’s in the bushes and not much to be done I think it’s convenient if you want some quiet time with your partner.

The views were amazing. Tucked into the mountain among the citrus estates. traditional rondavals with that awesome feeling of my feet back on africa soil. Staff were wonderful and friendly and breakfast catered for all tastes

The view is out of this world .
The view is out of this world .Yousee the beauty of nature and the quiet moment where nothing matters but Nature only.. Travelling though Mogobaskloef is one experience that everyone will never regret
The city is also very clean and that is commendable. Hiking is one activity that one can do
It is very easy to move around Tzaneen and there are plenty of locations that you can enjoy delicious meals

The scenery is beautiful and the people are very friendly. The restaurants in Haenertsburg and Magoebaskloof are excellent. We found that access to some tourist attractions was difficult and required a high clearance vehicle.

I enjoyed the the rugby world cup . Thanks very much for the beautiful arrangements that you prepared for us, the big screen, the delicious free pap and sheba for the bring and braai.
I'd love it if you can bring back the welcome satchels for tea as well as the soaps, the shower caps.

4.Other Lodge when it says all inclusive like Vuyani where we stayed 02 nights we were all have safari,drinks in the room, drinks when we eat but on your side we paid money for water
5.Your housekeeper are lazy to put water in the kettle for tea in the room

The place is very spacious and calm. The full fridge/freezer was very welcome becaus we were on our way to Kruger Park and had our meat with us. Loved the privacy. Friendly host and help to locate a shop.

Liked so much about Makalali.
Liked so much about Makalali. The staff were all super friendly - they sang a South African Happy Birthday to a guest, and had such a good reception from all the guests, the following night they did some more songs. They went out of their way to be accommodating. The setting, the food, the rooms - just can't fault it at all. I've been recommending it to everyone I know. Well worth a visit.

I love travelling to this area, it is a beautiful, clean town with a little bit of paradise mixed in. The mountain scenery is surreal and the people of this town are very friendly and most helpful. This town is filled with history and heritage.

Cheerio is a must see especially in spring it is spectacular.
Lovely restaurants in the Haenertsburg village and lots to do if you love walking, nature- flowers and forests, eating, relaxing, scenic drives
We loved Habibi restaurant; Zwakala; Wegraakbosch cheeses; The Farmstall; Krabbefontein for coffee, sandwiches and cake.
Watch out on the dirt roads when it's rained they get super slippery.

Please let guests know how far you are from a met talked...
Please let guests know how far you are from a met talked road. You finally come near the resort by R36.
When you turn off the main road, there is a boom gate, and then a dusty but well graded unmettaled road for 9 kms.
This brings you to a second boom gate. Another 11 kms from there in a poorly graded unmetalled road. The resort offers to pick you up from this gate. Take up this offer. The 11 kms is a difficult 25 minutes drive.
You then arrive at the Old “Reception”, which is NOT THE RECPTION. You transfer to a resort jeep (very helpful staff) which then takes you the last 2 kms to the resort.
All okay. But please warn the guests of these last 22 kms. After a long 450 Kms drive from Joburg, the last 22 are an unwelcome surprise.
