Just lovely! Beautiful property, the owners are great, the room, the amenities, the drinks and snacks they have available (extra purchase), the location blocks away from restaurants, the breakfast well prepared! Don’t remember another place I stayed with such great cost benefit.

*The Art Deco theme of the hotel was well considered and all the public areas were beautiful (the main dining room and sitting room in particular). *Secure parking and great WiFi in all areas. *The staff were all unfailing friendly and helpful. Service in the bar and at dinner was superb, and reception were very engaging. *Our room was Art Deco themed and was well appointed and comfortable. Fantastic views of the mountains from the large bedroom windows (but surprisingly quiet and peaceful at night).Air con worked well, there was a large fridge, and the bed was comfy. *The pool area was a treat in the Montagu heat. There were plenty of loungers and pool towels were provided. The garden was very nicely landscaped, and it didn't feel like a town centre location at all. *Lunch in the Feathers and Flatcaps was tasty and relaxed with an extensive drinks list (always a bonus). The evening mea (2 or 3 course set menu) was a smarter affair in the main restaurant and was superb, both in terms of quality and price. Breakfast was good, with the highlight being the excellent cheese and meat selection. The cooked options were just ok, and we would probably just stick to the delicious continental next time.

Staff were amazing and helpful, and the stay was lovely.

Breakfast was fabulous. Our very welcoming hosts made a special effort to make our stay most enjoyable. The room was comfortable, tea, coffee and milk was provided. As we arrived on Valentine's Day, our hosts gifted us a bottle of wine, chocolate, fruit and sweets.
