An absolute little jewel in the Gritjie private game reserve. JP & Danielle and at the time also their daughter Camille gave our honeymoon stay the absolute perfect touch. Extra champagne and a personal congratulations card gives you bubbles in your belly as well. 🥰 JP is an excellent ranger with a lot of knowledge which he enjoys to share and Danielle make the best food to your preferences you can imagine. You can rest assured that you will not leave this place hungry. This is the best safari experience we have ever had. Although we did not see an overwhelming amount of animals but that is a total lottery. This stay was totally A-mazing!!! 🤩😍

Ngalali Retreat makes you feel home far away from home. It's the people that made this experience unforgettable - whether its Xander & Elly with their uncomparable knowledge about all the animals and plants around the area or Lorenza, Elisa and the whole team around Helen that make you feel taken care of at any time. No wishes remained unfulfilled. You can spot animals directly from the pool or all around the area - e.g. at the water hole. It’s nestled in the Babule Game Reserve. The facility is great and clean. The rooms here face the river. We got to experience the tranquility of our surrounding jungle/forest. Given, our guide, is exceptional, experienced with tracking wild life and loves them. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. Carol and her team are marvellous hosts. Food is good.

The location is beautiful! A totally wild and close to nature experience. Our guides, Hardus and Neil, took every small step to make sure our stay was comfortable and nothing was lacking. I'd recommend this to everybody. The game drives were exceptional! Hardus is an extremely proficient guide as well as a MasterChef! Delicious food! Also the support staff working in the background made everything just perfect! The surroundings and.ambience are beautiful! We witnessed so many animals close to the lodge itself! I'd wish we stayed longer!
