United KingdomThe location is fantastic. Our sea view room looked out towards Robben Island and also across the bay to Table Mountain. The sunsets were great with oranges and pinks lighting the sky.
A walk along the beach is a must with fine sand stretching for miles.
Breakfast is a highlight with freshly cut fruits/yoghurts/pastries/cooked food etc.
Other meals are also of a good standard but if you want to eat elsewhere there are restaurants within a five minute walk.

Our stay at the guesthouse was delightful; it's beautifully maintained with rooms cleaned daily and boasts a wonderful terrace with a pool. However, the true gem are hosts, Adam and Kelly. They prepares delicious breakfasts daily and engages guests, offering recommendations for attractions, restaurants, and more. Adam , Kelly (don't forget about their lovely dog Milo) truly made our stay memorable. Highly recommended!

We got upgraded to a wonderful apartment 209, its was really wonderful.
This is a luxury apartment. It has wonderful uninterrupted view across the bay towards Table Mountain. The views of the sunsets were stunning. You can see the beach, waves and in the morning flocks of birds flew right over our balcony.
The bed was very comfortable, the bathrooms clean and showers were hot. There was sufficient lighting even during load shedding.
All staff members were friendly, efficient and very very helpful
We were just a couple but this apartment, can easily house 4 and more quite comfortably
.There is a modern big kitchen two sleeping room a big balcony to sit or sunbath, it also had a splash pool which we did not due to the weather. There is air-condition in the rooms.
The whole building is fenced and there is 24/7 security, so we were not worried about security in the apartment or for the car. There is laundry service that was very efficient and we could have also choose to use self-service.
We did not use the gym, the swimming pools or the common bbq but all seemed quite nice.

Beautiful and comfortable rooms with balcony or patio. Beautiful seaview from lounge and breakfast room and some of the guest rooms. Nice and quiet location and with restaurants on easy walking distance. Good honesty bar. One of the best breakfasts in South Africa! Mabel who has been working at the guesthouse for many years is extremely service minded and helpful! Love her pancakes! Have stayed at Sir David many times and can highly recommend this guesthouse!

Our stay at Blaauw Village Guesthouse was really amazing. The room was truly excellent and wonderful for a duo couple or small family.
The breakfasts were always fresh and wonderfully prepared.
However the real highlight of our stay, was the laughs we shared with Jason, the manager. He really brightened up our mornings, took excellent care of us and showed a lot of respect for his staff. We really enjoyed our stay.

The guest house is a haven for anyone wanting a place which is clean, safe and comfortable. The Victorian Style rooms and atmosphere are just relaxing and majestic. It makes you feel like you are residing in a palace. Breakfast was excellent and very filling. Erika is the best host that one can ask you. You feel the warmth and hospitality to the point of excellence.

Our accommodation was good and to walk to the beach and restaurant near by was a big plus. The property agents were quick to respond to our queries. The accommodation was fully equipped in the kitchen although we didn't cook but we could see if we were to cook it was going to be perfect

Awesome place.
Awesome place. We probably chose the best three days in the last 12 months to be on the beach. Busy but uncluttered beach with restaurants in close proximity. Strongly recommended if avoiding massive crowds is your thing.

Melkbostrand is a quite nice sea side village on the start/...
Melkbostrand is a quite nice sea side village on the start/end of the wildflower route on the West coast. Very relaxed with very good restaurants and a small convenient mall. The only nu clear plant in SA is closed by and entrance to their wildlife park is for free. They also have a information centre explaining how nu clear power is created.
Best place to take spectacular pictures of Table Mountain.

The area is perfect for Family, or even just a quiet and relaxed time. The atmosphere is pleasant, the restaurants are just downstairs, the beach is a stone through away. The people is friendly, the view is amazing.. definitely one of the best parts of Cape Town.

Beautiful little village feel.
Beautiful little village feel. Lovely for a weekend break and the location is picturesque.
Big tip: book online at the restaurants before you come. Most places only accept online bookings and they get full really quickly!!
