As a solo traveller I loved the long dining table were you meet the other guests. Also joined the chef collecting Greens from garden and help with cocking. That was again a very hommy feeling.

Beautiful and comfortable rooms with balcony or patio. Beautiful seaview from lounge and breakfast room and some of the guest rooms. Nice and quiet location and with restaurants on easy walking distance. Good honesty bar. One of the best breakfasts in South Africa! Mabel who has been working at the guesthouse for many years is extremely service minded and helpful! Love her pancakes! Have stayed at Sir David many times and can highly recommend this guesthouse!

The view from my room was spectacular. The staff were amazing. I’ve stayed in many hotels around the world but I have to say that the staff at here were amazing. Housekeeping, the reception staff, waiters at the restaurant, the reservation team! I’m not sure how they managed to recruit the right people for every position. The rooms were clean, bed comfortable, breakfast had great choices. The ginger shots were such a great touch.

The guesthouse is very clean, top to bottom. The bed is very comfortable and breakfast was more than I expected, and delicious. The common areas are made to feel like your home, with the views from the top floor stunning. The host is very kind and helpful.

Hotel and restaurants are lovely. Easy to get around. I'm sure there are many activities for younger solo Travellers. I wasn't there long enough to investigate the possibilities.

Awesome place.
Awesome place. We probably chose the best three days in the last 12 months to be on the beach. Busy but uncluttered beach with restaurants in close proximity. Strongly recommended if avoiding massive crowds is your thing.

lots of places to visit, even without a car. Ubers and mycitibus are good. Good restaurants and coffee shops nearby, also shopping malls. Loved walking along the promenade. We had friends who live there who drove us to wineries nearby several times. Lots to see and do even as winter starts.

Melkbostrand is a quite nice sea side village on the start/end of the wildflower route on the West coast. Very relaxed with very good restaurants and a small convenient mall. The only nu clear plant in SA is closed by and entrance to their wildlife park is for free. They also have a information centre explaining how nu clear power is created.
Best place to take spectacular pictures of Table Mountain.

The accommodation is epic, what you see on the advert is exactly as it is. The value for your money is worth being there. The host is just bubbly and accommodating. She made sure we are welcomed and made our stay beautiful and we enjoyed every moment. It was hard when we had to check out after a week of being HOME. It was our home away from home. Beautiful little village feel. Lovely for a weekend break and the location is picturesque.
Big tip: book online at the restaurants before you come. Most places only accept online bookings and they get full really quickly!!
