The chef knows what his doing and the rooms are very spacious and the bathroom is like a room on its own, very big, with double sinks and double showers for his and hers. It's so peaceful and you get greeted by animals from the entrance and they are everywhere around the property which was really great to see. I love the place and I cant wait to return.

We had a wonderful stay, everything was perfect. We stayed at the Beehive Cabin which is approx 2km away from the main lodge. The cabin is very private, beds are comfortable, cozy interior, the outdoor area has a fire pit, hanging chairs to relax and two bathtubs. You’ll find everything in the kitchen if you feel like cooking, but we opted for the restaurant for dinner and breakfast which was just perfect. The staff is lovely and took good care of us.
We went with the owner for an afternoon quad bike tour around the property and spotted many animals. Would definitely recommend to make this your next stay.

we did not have breakfast but everything was exceptional, Tshepiso called us even when we were still at home, making sure he met us on the way so that we reach the place without problems, the place was exactly as it was on photos, and we enjoyed our space and comfort, thanks

Very friendly staff, good location in the Mabula Game Reserve, very good food. The guide was excellent. We saw rhinos, cheetahs, and lions. We had a very nice stay.

I went to Bela Bela to continue my memory trip .
I went to Bela Bela to continue my memory trip . I remembered Warmbaths 25 years ago, and was so disappointed. The streets were dirty, the pavements broken, the little town full of load music
I will definitely not go there again.

From the moment I arrived, the overwhelming sense of peace and quiet set the tone for the entire stay. This is the kind of place where time slows down, and the only sounds you hear are the gentle rustling of trees, distant bird calls, and the occasional movement of wildlife nearby. It’s the perfect escape from the noise and stress of everyday life.
One of the most magical aspects was the presence of wild animals roaming freely around the unit. Seeing wildlife up close, right from the comfort of the lodge, felt surreal and deeply immersive. It created a unique connection with nature that you simply can’t replicate elsewhere—every moment felt authentic and special.
The private swimming pool was another standout feature. It offered complete seclusion and was the perfect spot to cool off while soaking in the breathtaking surroundings. We visit Mabula Game Lodge every year and always look forward to it. The chalets have amazing views, the staff and rangers are fantastic, and the game drives are always informative and enjoyable. We also really appreciate their conservation efforts — one of the main reasons we keep coming back.

Loved the homey feel and character of this huge space. It is extremely well equipped and well designed. The animals come to feed right in front of the house, and it is very close to the golf course. Main bedroom is very big, while the other rooms are smaller, so bear that in mind when booking.

The place is in a tranquil and remote area, so if you want to detach from the buzz of the city, you have the perfect spot.
The only thing that was a bit challenging was the gravel road stretch if you were in a small car.

I had Latte and koeksisters at Auroro Tea Garden and there was a fete and dans at the local community hall. I bought pancakes, but did not attend the dans.
I did not like that the community had to do fund raising to repair damage from the resend floads, no government funds are available for repairs

The place really needs maintenance everywhere and they can improve on cleanliness and quality.

The place is in urgent need of an upgrade. Almost all the kitchen items were dirty. The pots and pans were old and scratched. The knives were blunt. The dishwasher was broken. The bathroom mats looked like they belonged outside. The grill was rusty. The microwave is extremely old. The living room couches were terribly dirty, and the cushions were worn out and flat. The owner’s personal belongings, like cool boxes, were scattered around. The tap at the kitchen counter had no running water. The shower mats were mouldy.
The advertisement of the rooms on the website did not match what we got. The single beds were extremely hard, and the bedding was old.
The dishwasher was extremely dirty, mouldy, and broken.
The pool cues had no tips.
