The modern 4-star beachfront Medora Auri Family Beach Resort, situated in Podgora town in the heart of Makarska Riviera, closest hotel to Biokovo Skywalk, features heated outdoor swimming pools, a wellness centre and a rich animation program. First, the hotel was huge enough and even though there were lots of people, nobody had problems with one another. Then, the location was excellent, views were exceptional, free sunbeds, all inclusive drinks during breakfast and dinner, rooms were small but functional and clean. My mom’s had the best birthday ever since they provided me with a small cake and they helped me arrange a bouquet of flowers as well, so my mom had the best time there so did the whole family. Beach was very comfortable, it had some activities ( water aerobics, sea dance, yoga), after activities the beach was quiet and relaxed. The sea was 10/10!

All apartments are renovated and have one or two bedrooms, one or two bathrooms with a shower, and a private balcony or terrace.The hotel resort is suitable for families with children who can enjoy the indoor play area and the playground. Free WiFi is available at the reception lobby. Resort Urania really surprised me in a good way. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment that was spacious enough for 4 people. The apartment’s equipment was unbeatable – the resort really thought of everything. The rooms were clean, and while cleaning was done on request, you could change the sheets yourself whenever needed (I don’t see that as a minus). Breakfast was very rich, with something for everyone. The quality of the ingredients was high, and the fruit selection was one of the best I’ve ever seen in a hotel. Dinner was the same story – very tasty food, a wide selection, grilled dishes on the terrace, and a large variety of desserts – and not just different puddings or jellies in cups like you often get in supposedly “higher-class” hotels. These were real baked cakes and pastries. Within the hotel grounds there’s a perfect children’s playground, big enough so it doesn’t get boring quickly, and our son really spent a lot of time there. You could reach the beach within a few minutes, it was really just a short walk. There was plenty of space on the beach, it didn’t feel crowded at all. Note – it’s a public beach, so umbrellas and sunbeds are only available for a fee, and the price was quite high (around 15 euros for a set of two sunbeds and an umbrella). There were plenty of bars and restaurants in the area.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine desire to make my stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. The attention to detail throughout the resort is truly awe-inspiring. Every corner of Maslina reflects a thoughtful blend of local culture and refined elegance. The use of local ingredients in the cuisine, the carefully curated interior pieces, and the serene ambiance of the surroundings all contribute to an experience that is both luxurious and authentic. Maslina Resort stands out as one of the very rare gems in the Adriatic that embodies quiet luxury. I’ll admit I was skeptical about hotel dining at first, but this is no ordinary hotel restaurant. It's a proper, high-quality restaurant connected to the resort—and honestly, one of the best around. I highly recommend trying the octopus salad—it's a standout dish. What truly made this stay exceptional, though, was the staff. Their warmth, humor, and dedication elevated our entire experience. At reception, Biljana, Dusan, and Miki were incredible—always available, helpful, and full of that genuine Balkan hospitality that makes you feel like family. In the restaurant, Josip, David, and Strahinja not only provided fantastic service but also brightened our days with laughter, generous touches, and spot-on recommendations. Honestly, it’s the people here who will bring me back. The building is beautiful, the beach is world-class, the food is delicious—but it’s the staff that made it unforgettable. If I had to find one downside? The mosquitoes—but even they couldn’t dampen such an amazing experience. PS: I read a review stating that there is a strong smell from the sewage which I did not feel as everything around us only smelled of lavenders, the sea and some great food.

Small but really Lovely and perfect for a family of 4. In the price was a voucher of €25 per person per day which was a really well thought out way of making you feel as if you’re getting more value for money.

Lady Di apartments is a recently renovated apartment in Kaštela, where guests can make the most of its casino and free bikes. The air-conditioned accommodation is 600 metres from Bijačka Kaštela Beach, and guests can benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi. The property is soundproof and is set 17 km from Salona Archeological Park. Great place! Very cute and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Diana and her daughter Petra were so welcoming and made me feel at home with fresh pastries upon arrival and a bottle of wine! The sweetest people. Also can’t beat the value and the location for checking out Ciovo/Trogir/Kastel and of course Split! Minutes from the airport! i highly recommend!
