Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GibraltarThe management has to ensure that what they offer is what clients get we found out a few days into the holiday that the beach front bar had happy hour from midday till 8pm every day with a discount of 25% on drink and food during this time span. We had to request it, they offer on the website but do not apply it unless you request it. website menu should be updated there was an offer in el Khaima restaurant of the same discount which we requested and we were told that it was only for the Rammadam period but was given it due to it not having been removed.
Room was clean but needs revamping, had a slight problem with the shower water pressure which was sorted promptly the room attendants were slightly forgetful as there was always something that wasn't replaced. The location of the resort was ok for what we wanted had its own beach and two adult pools, short Taxi drive to Dubai Mall or Metro station. Breakfast is a self service buffet which was good had a bit of everything no pork obviuosly but this is replaced with chicken or beef sausages and bacon, had fresh fruit, bread and an egg station for requests. There is a small fridge in the room and we found out on checkout that it was supposed to be a mini bar which was empty from the beginning.

GermanyThe rooms are old, and need some tlc. We got charged for minibar at checkout, which was a sad end to things because we didnt even touch that. Especially because we were made to wait quite a while until someone went and checked the minibar physically. I dont know why someone could have just checked it when we called for a cart to take the luggage to reception for checkout.
The staff was generally friendly and the hotel was in a good location next to the beach. The rooms were quite old and we had issues with the showers in both rooms unfortunately. It was solved relatively quickly, but I dont know how this could have been missed during cleaning. The breakfast was very good.

United KingdomOn this trip, I stay in 2 hotels, and overall was not impressed by the customer service at the reception in either of them, hence maybe it's a Dubai thing? The Reception staff some were helpful, but seems information exchange was not well established, and at times I felt like a child being told instead of explained things. For 5 star hotel, the rooms seem to be a little run down. We stayed in family room and were happy with the size, but small things like iron is missing, electric plugs not close to the bed, bathroom little outdated, the minibar was not cleaned properly -found leftover leaking ice cream from the previous tenants. Breakfast - OK offering, omelets with too much oil. Cofee - very very bad, I tried cappuccino, americano, and double espresso and none were drinkable. considering the hotel has Nespresso-style coffee pods and machines in the rooms, I had higher expectations.
The hotel has 3 nice pools, a private beach and a super view of Burj Khalifa. The buggy service provided from the main lobby to villas is super efficient, friendly and helpful. At check-in, the staff was helpful and offered solutions to questions. Albeit, for an extra fee. Private beach is a jam, helpful beach staff and super nice and clean water. The villas, small paths with trees, waterfalls, and cute bridges offer a sense of secluded oasis. it does not feel you are in Dubai, feels like being on a romantic trip. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, shopping malls, La Mer beach and entertainment just a stone throw away. Reasonably close -15 minute drive from many iconic or tourist destination places.

Maltathe resort seems very neglected. rooms are old and need refurbishing and modernization. the beach area is very basic, definitely not up to standard of a 5 star hotel. it is also understaffed and therefore service is not excellent.
The layout of the resort has a great potential but it is not taken care of.
