Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FranceToilet is very outdated, no curtains ! So water was all over the place. No room service or cleaning. Very bad sound isolation we could hear every little noise in the alley.
The location was good. Very close to transportation and the reenweg station where you can find a direct train to/ from the airport.

Location was really good easy to reach from airport. Rooms were of good size. Also they let us check in 2 hours early for no extra cost which was great.

New ZealandIt was very disappointing that there was no electric jug or small refrigerator in our room. we like to make a cup of tea in hotel rooms when we travel. we bought ourselves an electric jug and bought long-life milk to be able to make our cups of tea. At check in we were told that we had to let Reception know if we wanted our room serviced on a given day. we were told that if we did not communicate with Reception they would take it as "servicing of room not required". we took this at face value and were shocked when staff came into our room on the first morning (and other mornings) to do room service. If there had been a DO NOT DISTURB notice we could have put on the door this would have solved the problem. On the day we did ask for the room to be serviced what we got wasn't a service. Instead of changing the sheets and pillowcases on the bed, all that was done was the bed was made with existing linen on it, the floor was swept and new towels put in. Service of a room to us = includes clean sheets and pillowcases put on the bed.
Handily located to catch the tram. we liked that the hotel itself wasn't noisy.

NetherlandsThe first room smell strongly of Zigaretten and the toilet bowl was broken. The next day they change the room and the second was much better. Still it could be cleaner. I heard a lot of people complaining about this and wanting to change rooms.
For the price is okay, can not expect more for such cheap price.

TurkeyCheckout day in the morning 9:00 am there was a maintanence and annoying drilling machine and hammer noise were being heard very close to the room. Also, there were a group of youth were singing from window to window. My wife had a headache and fever, but she could not rest. The phone in the room has no dial number index and I could not reach to the reception.
The breakfast was mean. The location is good.

NetherlandsToilet had issues flushing, night lights had no switches and some didn't have bulbs. Staff are not very friendly and some couldn't speak English. Hotel is old and you might get the idea that its not clean.
Close to public transport and comfortable beds. Very cheap and free luggage storage before and after check-in. Can get boiling water at reception. Everything was clean.

The hotel was ideally located from getting to and from the airport and close by for the number 71 tram to get into the main city. The bedroom, although small was adequate for 2 people with complementary toiletries. Staff were extremely helpful and the free breakfast was good. Breakfast was included in my booking but I wouldn't pay the 22 euros if not included. Restaurants close by from Venetian dishes to pizza etc.
