Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWhen we arrived our pillow cases had blood on them - not something I’ve ever experienced but each day when they replaced the sheets no others had blood on them, thankfully. There also isn’t a lift.
It was convenient and the breakfast in the morning was perfect, good selection of food options ranging from fruit and yogurts to a full cooked breakfast. The room was nice and suited us well considering we were only staying for a few nights.

I was million % it was there because it was a gift. Next reception in the afternoon claim he doesn't know, and no one told him about the matter

United StatesThe building itself was a bit run down. The hotel bar/restaurant did not seem to be open at dinner that night or breakfast the following morning.
It was an easy walk across the bridge to the airport and they had a paid shuttle if you had more luggage than you wanted to walk with. A couple of close eating places within a 5 min walk. Bed was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly.

Philippinesspending a $47 cab ride that is just 5 mins away from the airport was a rip-off. Better take the super shuttle and pay $13. I just couldn't locate where the bus ride is at the airport arrival. The hotel is old. Small bathroom, no toothbrush and toothpaste. The room stink a bit of food. The hallway is carpeted and was really hard to drag the luggage.

AustraliaWhen leaving the cool truck was parked in the driveway which meant we couldn't get out. He was there for quite some time. Perhaps he could have parked closer to the office which meant the access was free for others.
It was so convenient for me, I don't like to travel in Sydney and had to take my daughter to the airport. By staying with you I didnt have to deal with the chaos of the airport and trying to find a park and having to spend lots on a parking spot. Your $20 parking fee was exceptional, such a great idea and one I will remember. The staff were very friendly, helpful and when calling you actually spoke to someone and not a machine.
