How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Hanging lights above the private room, I wish those could be turned off at a certain time as it’s on all night.
Staff are great, including deano who always went above and beyond especially with a early check in! Free dinner is a great touch.

The drawers underneath the bed were not possible to lock, the mattress was too soft
Good location, appreciated the privacy thanks to the pods, clean bathrooms, they provided a dinner for free and it was delicious!

Dust from the fan on top of my pillow Noise when opening and closing the drawer under the bed Me and friends got allocated capsule beds that are far apart, kinda killed the fun a lil
Location of the hostel is a spot on, right in the middle of everything. Dinner provided on wed and sat! Variety of facilities that are usually not available in other capsule hotel. The vibe of the entire place was just awesome!

there were a lot of luggage on the way to the bathroom which it is not a big deal but sometime needed to walk around them.
Great place, I have stayed before there last year and didn't doubt again to choose it. Good location, close to markets, tram station. Staff super friendly, good breakfast.

The kitchen was a bit dirty at times and was weird been in a really large dorm instead of smaller spaces like other backpackers.
I booked this bed for the GC marathon event. It was affordable and close to start and finish line. I also enjoyed the restaurants in Chinatown and access to Surfers Paradise.

Sharing bathroom
I was there for marathon. Its perfect location and value for money is a strong point for me. The staff also very nice. Good for solo traveller or young people.

The beds were really firm. I found it difficult to sleep
I was racing the Gold Coast marathon and the accomodation was right at the start line. Absolutely perfect for my use case

The best hostel I have ever been. The capsules are perfect. It is like you have your own room. Love also the open kitchen with living room, nice facilities.

Some of the guests were questionable but there was never any issues. I just didn’t like the energy of some people I spent time around. Yet everybody is different. Also the sinks are too far away from the cooking stations but this is a minor considering how good the facilities are and the stuff they provide in the kitchen to use.
The staff here were very friendly, helpful & couldn’t do enough for you. Dean & Derek are always there to make sure things are running smoothly. All the other staff are really helpful & friendly too of course. Dean in particular takes his time to go around and make sure everybody feels welcome, asks if you would like to get involved in any activities etc. The accommodation is always kept very clean with cleaners working around the clock to clean up after scruffy guests! The beds are comfortable and you’re provided clean towels. For the cost of the stay for what you get in this area, you’ll not find better.

No on-site laundry but I believe that is to be rectified in the very near future
The staff were super friendly and helpful, friendly and relaxed atmosphere and the capsule type bedding offers you that bit of privacy that normal bunk bedding doesn’t offer

Sinks could have had more soap available to use My pod was opposite the bright white light for the location name "Berlin" which was pretty light over night. Easy fix of using an eye mask to sleep.

Could use a better luggage storage area as all the bags are piled into one space making it hard to access, some guests did not respect quiet hours

I booked this place with breakfast included,but only last day after asked I got a sandwich with coffee for free , thanks to César!! I probably should have asked from the first day of my arrival. At the end I had a really good time here!!!
I love this place, everything was clean and organized! I'll recommend it to everyone.
