Some of the ensuite bathrooms are very narrow and might be a problem for large people. The share bathrooms are a fine option if this is an issue.

This is the 5th time that my friends and I have stayed at the Edinburgh as we participated in the mid-winter Festival of Voices choir festival. The guesthouse has always been very clean and welcoming. The rooms are comfy and warm when you put the heaters on. The beds are comfy and come with electric blankets. The breakfast is serve-yourself with varieties of cereal, bread, spreads, fruit, tea, coffee and juices - all you need to start the day. John, the proprietor is always helpful and cheerful. We were able to store our luggage during the day of departure and chill out in the reception lounge area whilst waiting for our airport bus.

    Nothing

The location of Edinburgh Gallery B&B is excellent. Easy walk to most things in town. John is very friendly and makes guests feel at ease in his home. As a family of 4, with 2 small kids, the layout of room 3 worked well for us (main bedroom area, sunroom with two single beds and our own bathroom). Perfect! The bath filled up very quickly (great again for small kids) and there was always plenty of hot water. The range of breakfast foods and set up were great.

Loved it. If you like quirky, with some old and creaky parts but full of history and friendly people...then this is the place for you. John the host is wonderful. If you cant cope with an aging building , squeaky and creaky then this is not the place to book. We would stay again next time we are in Hobart.

Close enough to town for an easy stroll but not noisy. Super interesting property with a homely vibe. John makes every guest feel so welcome and comfortable, with fresh coffee to start the day and an invitation for late night snacks from a well stocked kitchen.

The entrance is locked at 10pm apparently.

It was great there. Free parking is so helpful around the city of Hobart. We couldn't meet the owner but he left us a note of how to check-in so nothing to worry about. The decoration of accommodation is unique and antique. The shared bathroom was clean. Plenty of breakfast choices are accessible anytime during the stay. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

The front room was a little noisy, as it's located on a busy road. Other rooms would be fine.

The beautiful old building and the interior decor. The host, John, was also a lovely fellow. We were very comfortable, thank you!

We had to go up 2 levels to get to the toilet.

Wonderful continental breakfast provided with plenty of choices. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. There was a TV, kettle and coffee/tea in the room.
