The bed was a bit soft compared to our one at home. Shower was a bit tight on space with glass shelf which could be hazardous.

Could have done with sausages & mushrooms in addition to eggs & bacon for breakfast. Location was great but very dark outside when night time walking. Room was fantastic but bed soft & moved on its wheels. Took a day to get use to. Loved the gardens, animals & souvenir shops. Staff were all friendly & helpful.

Would have loved tea/coffee in the room rather than the shared kitchen. But that's just because I like my first cup before getting dressed.

Beautiful historical buildings in gorgeous garden settings just on the edge of town. Easy access, easy parking, beautiful historical rooms. Friendly staff with a generous breakfast and so much to look at.

Pillows! Too flat, had to ask for better ones and the shower cubicle in our room was tiny, if you're even remotely above average size its a tight squeeze! Spa was good though.

Breakfast was included in the tariff, standard fare but very nice. Homemade bread for toast! Beautiful gardens, fab ducks roaming (mind your step) around the place.

The only downside for me was I had a room that had a shared bathroom. Whilst there were few others in the shared house it was fine but as more came it became a bit of a juggling act. No biggy, just so used to ensuites! Heritage homes dont come with all the modern extras.

Location was amazing. The most beautiful gardens right on the river. Old house with lots of ambiance and history. The 'girls' were fantastic. So helpful no matter how busy they were and always with a smile. The breakfast was the old fashioned type - huge doorstopper slices of homemade bread, homemade jams, marmalades etc. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the yolks bright yellow. My room was smallish but had double door opening to the deck overlooking the garden. Room heater was helpful as was the electric blanket !

I can only suggest have a small fridge in ur room perhaps and maybe a bigger tv if u use it

my jaw dropped the second we pulled up. I thought I’d died and gone to heaven. I’ve never felt so positive about a beautiful place before. I will be recommending it to everyone. the ambience was sublime. honestly best place I’ve stayed for a long time

Only the bedding - we were in the Honeymoon suite... bedding a little heavy - would prefer a nice doona.

Just one thing. Their is only one toilet. Which I understand as it is a heritage home. Having an outside toilet bearby would have been a good thing As the one toilet us in a shared bathroom And if another guest is showering you need to wait awhile. Just a suggestion put an outhouse bathroom.

The house was beautiful. So well decorated. Comfortable loved sitting by the fire in the lounge area. Would 90% recommend this place to friends and family. And will not hesitate to stay again.
