How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Great location for Litchfield Park. Unpretentious but comforatble and quiet. Nice little balcony with chairs and table for aperitifs and/or dinner from the onsite BBQ. Great value for money and Brian went to unexpected lengths to help us enjoy aour stay, including fixing a problem with our car. Great help due to the very limited facilities in the immediate area

As I said, at $120 per night during peak for a self contained cabin, you’re not going to expect much. The cabins are not young, but they’re clean and situated in nice grounds.
very close to Litchfield National Park. very friendly hosts and extremely cost-effective. at $120 per night for 2 people in a self contained cabin during peak season, one cannot complain.

Lack of privacy. Owners were nice but you dont want to see laundry hanging off your cabin you just want to relax and have some privacy and enjoy the peace and quiet. Beds were a bit uncomfortable. To the side of the cabin was the camp kitchen people talking needed to be fenced off you pay for cabin life not camp life. Prefer to camp cheaper and you probably get more privacy. Was asked by waits person to pay for dinner the next day we planned to pay at dinner but they were so under staffed at dinner noone to give money too at dinner time without upsetting the flow of the kitchen. I felt a bit insulted by the waits person we planned to pay at check out the next day we offered to pay early as you have to order dinner at reception early that day.
Cabin was clean and quiet location. Owners were friendly and down to earth

The cabins need a good refurbish very old and run down. Bunks had missing screws so a little unsafe and double bed was a bit rickety.
The yummy home cooked meal cooked by the hosts in the restaurant. Host Brian and Natalie were lovely

Poor Wi-Fi and low service area for Telstra.
The property is in a great location to Litchfield National Park. The staff were super accommodating and helpful.

Room was tired. Basin in bathroom very worn. Table inside top pealing off. No cooktop. No camp kitchen. No BarBQ. Had a microwave. We had a gas cooker we used to cook our pasta

We have SERIOUS concerns about security of cabin. Sliding door locks need improvement. We are 99.9% sure that somebody (A PERVERT / PEEPING TOM) entered our cabin, in a 4 hour window during afternoon, whilst we were visiting waterfalls and stole a very expensive white, ladies underwear set.
Cabin meet our needs in terms of the facilities offered. Ladies / owner at reception was friendly and helpful. Location good. Value for money.

It would have been good to have a broom and dustpan available to keep the floor clean. Had to ask for one , also very limited cooking equipment available. One of the reasons I choose cabins to self cater so always frustrated when there is no or very limited equipment in a cabin.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Cabin was basic but clean and comfortable.

we had a deluxe cabin and it was pretty ordinary, hate to have seen the budget cabins. but as they say if it isn’t broken don’t fix it.

Can't comment on the restaurant as unfortunately it was closed on Sunday nights. Just a note for families that the pool isn't fenced so we had to be extra vigilant in watching the little one.
Greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our cabin which was lovely. Quiet little park, relaxing vibe with beautiful surrounds. Gorgeous private deck to sit on and enjoy a few drinks. I was worried about other reviews stating it was dirty etc but our cabin was very clean with everything we needed. The cabin is very dated but everything worked and is definitely on par with the rest of the accommodation we've previously stayed in the Top End (incl Bachelor). Great value for money compared to other parks around the area.

Could have had the aircon on in the room before arrival but once cooled down was great
It is a very laid back little place but comfortable and friendly. Steak was great.
