Attention to detail was just a bit off. Only little things but it affected our stay. Our phone didn’t work properly in our room so ringing front desk or concierge was a time consuming process (it would drop out, wouldn’t connect, we’d have to call several times etc). The pool area, while beautiful and relaxing, didn’t have a dedicated staff member so things weren’t being cleared and tidied. We were there for 3 hours one afternoon and by the time we left every table had dirty glasses and plates and towels scattered everywhere, even though they were being fresh drinks to guests. The room next to us had in room dining plates out the front when we checked in and they were still there when we left. We were seated for breakfast and when we went to get our food, the same staff member seated someone else at our table. We booked two rooms and indicated we had 5 people but were given rooms with king size beds and when we called about a rollaway we were told they didn’t fit in the type of room we had, so we had to squeeze three in a bed. So as I said, small things, but they detracted from the stay nonetheless.

Great location and the breakfast was excellent value for money.

We were disappointed not to have access to a few new release movies and some higher tech accessories in the room. The bathrooms, although clean, are outdated.

The buffet breakfast was excellent, although the wait for cooked eggs could be long. We loved the pillow menu, and the pool was very refreshing.

The breakfast wasn’t quite as advertised (cereal was the wrong type, only 1 slice of toast received and not 2 as ordered - these details matter when you have kids who are fussy eaters). Also, it’s a small detail but it would be good to have face washers in the bathroom.

Staff were really friendly, lobby bar is beautiful, rooms are spacious and really comfortable, and the pool area is really nice. The location is excellent! So close to Pitt St mall, QVB etc. I would definitely stay here again.

I thought the lobby dining area was a little underwhelming.

Our room was very spacious and well appointed. The hotel itself was quite opulent. If you liked shopping and eating out this hotel is a great location.

Breakfast a bit chaotic, likely due to staff shortages and delays in clearing tables, so a bit of a wait at times.

Excellent location and comfortable rooms. Bathroom included a bath. Check in etc all very easy and well organised. Good sized rooms. Good to have gym and pool.

Pool lacked loungers. Lots of people came out but immediately went back in due to lack of beds. Pool also quite chilly Some of towels in our room had seen better days Reception seemed short on staff at times

Housekeeping on one night replaced our duvet with one to small Twice we were short of a face flannel - they said that they had run out of this item

Staff were generally excellent except the ones in the bar on the 8th floor. One seemed unable to understand my question - a recent immigrant I think. One other needed to be more friendly.

Unfortunately the works on the adjacent building, in particular the jack hammer continuing until 10pm was onerous. Not the fault of the hotel. But did definitely detract from what was otherwise an amazing stay.

Loved the pool and sauna. Breakfast room service was amazing. Huge meal! Loved the decor especially the arches bar cafe downstairs. Beautiful old style hotel. Location can’t be beaten - opposite all the best shops in the heart of Sydney

Frustrating to book with free child under a certain age only to be told that’s if they share the bed with the adults. She is 4 and I’m not doing that. Wanted to charge a ridiculous price for a rollaway and refused to put it in the allocated room anyways. Had to argue my way before they finally offered a room with 2 double beds at no further cost which I appreciate but an ill explained deal whether it was third party or direct.

Incredible location tucked away in the very centre of the city. Lovely heated outdoor pool.
