There was no bathroom door nor even a simple curtain in our attic apartment separating the bathroom from the bedroom which is quite unpleasant when you are not staying alone in the apartment.

The apartment and the staff are very nice. There are clear check-in instructions sent via booking.com chat. Around 20 min walk from the historical city center. Very good breakfast.

Steep stairs however I believe this is typical of the type of building. A little dirty in the communal areas.

Nothing I didn't like.. just worth keeping in mind that because this is an old (lovely) house the stairs are not appropriate for those with mobility difficulties.. but maybe the house offers ground floor rooms for such instances?

Wifi signal is bad from our room, could have been useful during rainy Belgium days.

Breakfast was very good, loved it. Accommodation was good, nothing mind-boggling but definitely worth the value!

Overall the place needed a lick of paint (apart from the bathroom), though it was clean. Very steep and dark staircase to get to the rooms and no lift, which was difficult for carrying heavy cases.

Helpful staff, large room, great shower, very good breakfast and excellent value for money. Parking is difficult and expensive in Ghent, so it was really useful that they provide parking (pre-booking required) a short walk away for only 8 Euros per day.

The shared quarters were not so clean. Our breakfast was not ready when we came down. The young man overslept but he was very friendly and excused himself and afterwards produced a very nice breakfast.

The rooms were clean. The host was friendly. Breakfast was OK. We were not far from the centre of Ghent which is by the way a very beautiful city.

The breakfast was the same every day. Very nice quality and tasty, but for such a simple breakfast, it would have been nice to have a bit more variety.

The whole ethos, vibe and style of this place is wonderful! The staff are lovely and very friendly. The garden is a beautiful little oasis and the other guests get drawn into communicating in a real human and close up way, as everyone sits around one cosy breakfast table. A true gem and joy! :D

Mosquitos, breakfast is rationed by the staff member, 3 flights of narrow stairs, payment method only cash at property. Get a machine don't make us go to the central hostel if we are paying with card.

It's walkable but a good 20 minutes. We caught the tram mostly which is still a walk. We stayed at the 6 bedroom out of centre place. The room was great, roomy with nice bathroom.

there was nothing i did not like

The room was quite large, very well furnished but quite dark. This actually made it more quirky. The breakfast was lovely and the host was great. she was very helpful as i was wanting to make a phone call about missing luggage and she made the phone call for me herself. Having use of the kitchen outside of breakfast hours was very welcome as well. I would definately stay here again if i returned to Gent

We got relocated to their cental location as there was renovations at this place. The room doesn't have air con so it was quite hot and the room was top floor so many steps to climb which was unfortunate as my friend had a very bad back.
