How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Just to know that tours like death road leave before breakfast starts (7:30am) so maybe buy something the night before
Really close to witches market! Rooms were clean, buffet breakfast was good and staff were lovely. Showers were cold/luke warm (normal for Bolivia) There were lots of shops and restaurants nearby along with an abundance of tour agencies. Staff were amazing, spoke perfect English and let us leave our bags there both before and after our stay. They even helped us get a taxi when leaving

Some more basic rooms in the hotel are without windows.
Friendly front desk Clean Quite Not far from more touristy streets Good cafe opposite The front desk can switch on some antiquity gas heater in rooms.

Nice place in a good location to access everything in La Paz, close to the witches market and Plaza San Francisco. The rooms are large, beds are comfortable and there is good Wi-Fi and hot water in the sink and shower. There are enough blankets to keep you warm and it was quiet at night. The reception staff are friendly, helpful and speak very good English. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful. We were able to request a takeaway breakfast when we left early for a tour. When we returned to La Paz a couple of days later they kindly stored our bags for a couple of hours in the day even though we weren’t staying at the hotel.

In May 2024, the reception staff was incredible. They went above and beyond, even assisting us in flagging down a public bus/collectivo as we were checking out.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I ended up staying 2 extra nights due to problems with protests on the roads out of La Paz. Was very grateful, my room was still available.
The breakfast was nice. Fresh fruit, juices,cereals yoghurts, and bread rolls and buter and jam

The breakfast was basic but good. The location was superb - 20mins walk to the bus station to get my bus to Uyuni. The staff were fabulous - always on hand to help me.

Breakfast was very plain, and there was often nothing to choose from. You have to pay extra for eggs. The furniture was outdated, and the bed needed some fixing up. It made sounds every time I moved.
Great location, excellent and very helpful staff. The room was very spacious and clean.

The floors were very slippery in the room (be careful!), no heating, but the staff provided with the electric heater, however it was difficult to use it since once on it made the air super dry. You have to pay extra for the eggs at breakfast. The furniture is quite old and requires renovation

The bed materas wasn't confortable. The pollows were too high. The bathroom is a bit old.

Great location - super close to witches market/restaurants but tucked off the main road so quiet. Staff are fantastic, so welcoming and helpful - go out their way to help if any questions. Let us pay a bit extra for early check in. Comfortable and clean, good showers with hot water, breakfast included. Great!

Even though it is said that the breakfast is included, we had to pay extra for eggs to be added to the breakfast selection every morning. Also the heater in the room was very hard to.urn in, so we had to call a receptionist every time we wanted to turn it on.
Decent hotel with a central location. Very good value for money.

They advertised heating but the room was really cold in the night and morning. There was hot water in the shower but there was a slight ant problem in the bathroom and some tiles in the bathroom and main room were not glued down to the floor. Walls were also paper thin, we could hear the people below us talking very clearly and they weren’t yelling or anything.
We came in very tired off of a night bus and they let us check in really early so we could catch up on some sleep.

Breakfast buffet is very simple. My husband didn't feel great so i asked for a lemon and salt in Spanish, she said she didn't have and was very rude but when people ordered eggs she brought them salt and pepper. Breakfast staff wasn't very kind or friendly. People on the floor above us decided to rearrange the entire furniture making lots of noise for about 1 hour.
We arrived early and were able to leave our luggage and then check in at 10am which was great. The lady at the reception was very kind. Beds were comfortable and room was good. Great location in the center. Very calm yet close to everything.
