The end of our trip to Czech Republic was unfortunately marred by the unprofessionalism of this hotel. We had no major issues prior our check out, as we're relatively easy going travellers. However, come check out time, we were told that we had to pay for the hot tub services that I had previously seen were included in our stay. It already said on booking.com that it was included. It did not have the "additional charges" under it, that the other activities like the fishing, bowling and walking tours did. I could have safely assumed it was included without asking. However, I'd rather be sure so I asked the man at the reception, and he assured my husband and I that was. I even asked about the fee for the sauna, as I was willing to pay for it, but to my surprise, he said it was included too. Perhaps I should have showed him the site details but seeing as he worked there, I assumed he knew what was included and what was not. Another man handled our check out and demanded that we pay, said it was impossible we were told otherwise because his colleague had worked there for years, as if that excused mistakes. He went on to say that since they've been opened, they've never had such an issue. Well, I've been travelling my whole life and haven't had such an issue either. I know what was said. I was there. He went on to patronise us and asked if we really thought the 20-30 euro room included the hot tub, that we actually thought their wellness center (it's just a lukewarm hot tub, a sauna and shower) would be free. I've been in all type of abodes and many do include saunas, jacuzzis, and more. Like I said, I asked and checked beforehand. Eventually, he told us to just go and accused us of scamming them (ironic, I said it was the opposite) and tried to guilt trip us by saying we were letting them fall into bankruptcy. If it wasn't for our train leaving about 30 minutes later, I would've stayed to get to the bottom of this.

Immaculate, stately, luxurious and very comfortable accommodation! However what impressed me most was the efficient and professional yet relaxed and kind staff on reception. It is rare and wonderful when staff are genuinely friendly, welcoming and relaxed in such luxury hotels.

The beds felt like trampolines and the pillows too. Not that great a selection of stuff at breakfast and the one member of staff on the floor was a bit too busy replenishing. But the beautiful hall that it was served in made up for it.

A great location, right next to the river, you walk out of the main entrance and the main church is there right across from the river on the rocky hill. You just need to cross the little bridge and you're in the centre.

Uncomfortable rooms

Gooed location but uncomfortable rooms- very spacious but sheets too short for the bed, no reading light. Restaurant was closed. Of all hotels in bohemia most expensive and least impressive

Breakfast was a disappointment. Due to the COVID pandemic there was a mandatory breakfast room service for which you had to make an order you had make the day before which still would be ok. However, the actual portions were quite small and the selection was very limited. Although everything was written down the breakfast order was never 100% complete.

Location of the hotel is great,really close to city centre with parking spots available. Room was quite spacious, well heated with a large bathtub. Also the double bed was quite large. The day-time shift at the reception was quite helpful.

The pillows and bed are pretty old and need to be bought new, like other reviews pointed out. There is no air conditioning in the room.

Great, great beautiful location. Good and plentiful breakfast, nothing was missing. Very friendly and helpful staff. The parking was indeed available and free of charge.
