Very tired, lots of repairs outstanding. Some dangerous examples were the internal stair rails very loose and electrical sockets in the rooms popping out of the walls.

The rooms are very poorly isolated for sound and the place is next to a bar that had karaoke party until 2am. It was more than just downtown street noise, is full blown party so we couldn't get any sleeps. The staff was extremely rude when we asked for a refund during the night and the next morning again and kept speaking with us in German knowing we only speak English. Probably the worst experience in my 13 years of booking with Booking.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We were able to check in early as our room happened to be ready. The 24-hour desk was great. The room itself was lovely - really comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom that felt quite new. Everything was spotlessly clean. And the location is ideal, right next to the river which is flanked by dozens of restaurants and bars. Couldn't have been better. We'll be back again next year.

The room was noise on the street. No aircondition, no net on the window. The bed was very small and high I was afraid of falling. I wanted to check out after the first night. The desk employee said I had to pay the three night booked. I told I won't pay since I'm not staying other than the night I had spent. She sait she will call the police abd she was shouting.

It's perfect experience, the staff is very good and friendly, she tried to help with all our needs. We arrived early before check-in time, but we take the night flight was super tired, she helped us making the early check-in and let us have a good rest to recover the energy for all day. Very helpful. The room is clean and comfortable which has everything, location super near to the rhine river. I recommend this hotel.

All hotel’s staff was so kind and nice; helped us for everything even for places to visit and at the end guided to find bus station.

Hotel was so clean, also place was located just in middle of city center. Room was good enough to relax and enjoy. Hotel shaped as a ship so you can hear river flowing in nights. One word , perfect!

Location was great to visit the Christmas markets. Staff was superior to accommodate check in and check out. We prepaid for breakfast which was very substantial. We would return to this small hotel!

The bedrooms were relatively updated, but the hallways need be renovated desperately! The lighting is horrible, very dark with old yellow paint. It gives you a dread as you walk down it that your room is going to be dire. Fortunately, the room was lovely! All the hallways really need is upgraded lighting, some nicer wallpaper and a carpet change.

Where do I start? This little hotel was so quaint, the staff so friendly, absolutely perfect location for seeing main attractions and just a block away from 4 Christmas markets and the river! Our room was spacious even had a little seating area with a desk which I used when I had to give a presentation for work one of the mornings! The beds comfy, the shower had great pressure, rain shower head and sprayer. The bathroom also had two sockets! (A novelty coming from Ireland!) The breakfast had hot food (eggs, bacon sausage) as well as the usual breads and cereals. Sparkling water on offer was appreciated in the morning after enjoying full days of gluhwein drinking! 😉

Location was perfect for Christmas markets and Cologne attractions. The view from the room was beautiful and private. The room was clean and cozy with plenty of space for our family.
