How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Is close to the airport however still costs 20 Euro to get there by taxi. There are no shops or restaurants in the vicinity so had to go back to the airport for dinner. Would have been cheaper to stay at the airport hotel due to not having to pay for transport to and from the B&B

You have to walk a little (7 minutes or so) to the bus stop. Wasn't a problem for us, but perhaps bad if it's raining a lot.
The location is very good, close to the airport. We had an early flight at 6.10 am and took the earliest bus at approximately 4.40 am. Booking the hotel for 1 night is much cheaper than taking a taxi from the northern part of Berlin. The bus ride is only 2 stops, 10 minutes. Room was very clean.

at the beginning I went to parking with my car (before checking in) and found out it is impossible to come up without checking in first so I have to come around up first and go to Hotel and check in then come back to parking to get my luggage,
However the room was small and there wasn't any toiletries, the room was clean, comfort and very close to airport terminal. also there where a guy named Abbas who was really helpful and supportive. and for the next time I would recommend it as a simple room close to airport.

Hotel near the airport, bus stop nearby. We had to leave early in the morning, the staff willingly ordered a taxi for us. Perfect for sleeping over

No airport taxi will bring you here. Had to wait an hour with a number of taxis messing us around, finally we downloaded Bolt app and ordered one at twice the price it should be. Could have walked it in that time! Check in via self check in was very long winded and a queue formed. Then the door code wouldn't work on the entrance door, only the room door.
Lovely clean room, immaculate and comfortable.

location and connection: the bus connection with the airport is not effective early morning (before 8 am) or late in the evening, which added 18 euros of taxi costs for us, and on the way back 3.60 euros per person by bus (every 20 min). Walking for nearly one hour (52 min, 3.8 km), with no apparent pavement, is not an option, especially if you have young asleep children and under poor weather (our case). For us this was the main negative part, as we have 2 kids (aged 5 and 6) and most taxis cannot take us without car seats.
the hotel had a simple self-check-in and no need for checking out. the room was clean, warm (in February). the wifi was ok, note we were on the last room of the building where it should be the weakest.

The self-check-in screen at the main entry was not working at all!! and it was around 1 am where there are no staff to help in the check-in process. So basically we were stuck outside trying to make it work for up to 45 minutes with tired kids, until i found a hotline number where one of the staff made the check-in at her side and handed me over the pin-code for entry.

Everything in the hotel was good. The location is remote, so don't expect restaurant options (just saw that a pizza place is going to open soon nearby)
Modern and clean hotel close to the airport (2 bus stops away). We stayed there because we had an early flight and the railway was going on strike that day. Room was basic but new and clean. Price was amazingly cheap. Breakfast was offered for an extra fee, but we skipped that for a small snack at the airport. Check the bus schedule at the stop, I think it's going approximately every 30 minutes.

Self-check in computer froze and did not work. Could not do a self check in. Had to call the emergency number at 4:30 in the morning. Took some time to do the check in but all went well in the end. Check in person did not know about carpark in basement of building.

The bed was very narrow, I mean: very narrow. And the topper on the matress always slipped down to kne side, which made the bed even more narrow - felt like 70 cm

Very clean, comfortable, uncomplicated check in and no check out. Easy to reach with the bus from the airport, only two stops, the ticket can be bought on board (1.80€)
