Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LithuaniaBeds not super comfortable, but for a night is ok. No air conditioner so was very hot during summer, in my room the curtains could not close normally so neighbours could see in. When people closing doors can be very loud. All in all was ok.
Cheaper than else and easy to reach from train station, also center is nor far but its a quiet area. Very very clean room and toilet, shower.

ItalyIt’s a bit surprising to discover that when you enter the room, you actually walk into the bathroom first, before reaching the bedroom. However, once you get past this unusual layout, everything else was just fine. The room isn’t very big, but there’s still enough space to open a suitcase.
Reasonably priced lodging close to the city center, with on-site parking.

FranceExpensive for what it is, we rarely pay such prices when we travel, but apparently that is the price level in Munich. For the price the room might have been a bit bigger with more wardrobe space.
Good location, walkable from the main railway station and close to Goetheplatz U-bahn station Very quiet in a quiet neighbourhood.

New ZealandKettle is not in the room but in a communal area with one for all the guests - bit awkward if you like a cuppa before getting out of bed in the morning.
The room was very spacious and clean. Location is nice and peaceful with good transport links and lots of local eateries and shops (including Lidl). Access to property was easy and staff were helpful.

It was clean comfortable and wasn't't far from the town. The owners were very nice and extremely helpful when it came to entering the building.

PortugalWe stayed in the Family Room with 5. 2 adults + 2 kids in 3 single beds put together and another kid alone in other single bed. More confortable for 4 than 5, but that's fine. It's a small pension, nothing fancy. But it gets the job done if you are just sleeping for 1 or 2 nights. 5min walking to Goethplatz metro station. Amazing breakfast. Both owners very nice, always replying.

GermanyA bit too simple, light bulbs just hanging "raw" without a real lamp around. Everything costs extra, a baby cot that was already yellow and the cloth was ripped costs 10 Euro extra - a rip-off!
Very simple, but clean

Switzerland- On our second night the building in front was having a party and we had to sleep together with their techno beats - The room was pretty warm, but manageable keeping the windows open - The building is old, so you can hear if people walk around the corridors / doesn't look super fancy - I think it was a bit expensive for what it is
- Great location! 10 mins by bus / 20 on foot from the central station, conveniently located on the U1, direct connection to Olympiastadion (I went because of a concert). Lovely area. - Spacious room, conveniently fitting 4 people - Clean room and bathroom

United StatesIf you share a bathroom there was only one per floor, separate shower and toilet rooms. They were kept clean enough but needed a deep clean.
Breakfast was not included, but it was a fair price. The room was very clean and quite spacious. Location isn't too far from the train station or from old town. It's on a quiet street which was very nice once it came to sleeping.

United KingdomThere doesn't seem to be a 24 hour reception and we couldn't get hold of them on the phone number they provided at around 10pm.
The location of this hotel is great, it's only a 15 minute walk to the main train station and to central Munich. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The staff were friendly and polite.

PortugalWe paid a lot for what it was worth. We found out it was Euro week, so maybe that is why the price was inflated, but by no means was the room we stayed in worth 150 euros per night. The room was really small for a couple. Anyway, I think its regular price on another week (75 euros per night, from what I checked) is an okay price.
The best thing about this pension is its location. It is in the city center and is close to a variety of transportation options. There are also very good places to go within walking distance. Another good thing is how clean it is. Although this is a very modest pension (the furniture is old and a bit outdated), the owners keep the place impeccably clean. They are also very nice and friendly. This is a good pension for a group of young people who do not care about luxury but instead want a well-located place with the basics to sleep and shower.
