How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There was no hairdryer in the room. When i asked from the lobby they also asked for 20Eu. When i asked the reason, the person told me that they must be sure that the dryer isn't going to lost. When i checked out they gave me back 20Eu but the behaviour is not nice. I felt myself as a thief for a hairdryer.
The location is perfect.

No kettle provided. Although I know they say it’s a budget hotel so they don’t provide one, it would be handy if there was a hot water machine somewhere in hotel where all guests could use. Upon request, I did receive a cup of hot water. But I’m a big tea drinker, so it’s a necessity for me and don’t exactly want to stay in a hotel double the price for a kettle.
Very cosy, clean and warm. Definitely does the job if you’re looking for a no frills, clean and convenient place to stay. Would definitely stay again.

However, I was disappointed by the fact that there was no electric kettle in the room. For me, that would have been a huge plus, especially since I often prefer tea or coffee in the privacy of my room. Hopefully, in the future, the hotel management will take note of this and provide such convenience for their guests.
I stayed at this hotel last week and overall had a pleasant experience. The service was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and cozy, with a comfortable bed and a nice view from the window.

Staff were a little jobsworth. But ok. One of the pillows was terribly lumpy as if it had been through a wash several times. TV had limited channels and some obvious ones not there. Not sure why

The pillows were not comfortable, not enough pillows. We had to ask for the pillow and towel for our child.
Strategic location for moving around the center and landmarks. Room was clean and there was a cleaning service during the day, so when we came back from our walk the room was nice again.

Ideal location to explore Berlin, clean and comfortable although minimal but it is a budget hotel. Breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and all spoke English. The room was very quiet too

Upon arriving at the hotel after a long trip, it is crucial to feel welcomed. Unfortunately, we did not experience that feeling. The parking is not free at the hotel.. This is something that has to be stated more clearly in your app... I spent quite a lot of time finding a spot for my car. Break fast was OK. I was hoping to have variety in 🥚 s . I was unlucky; I was given a room with a window facing the street, making it difficult to sleep due to the noise of passing cars. Next time I will consider that..

Toilet, shower and sink in the room,everything separately, the entrance to the shower is a part of the room- strange and not very comfortable
Strange arrangement of the shower and toilet, and sink in the room - not comfortable but clean , smallish room but again clean and suitable for a couple of nights, good breakfast, walkable distance from nearly everything, possibility of using a secure car park 😀

The bathroom is not separated from the main room. The toiled is separated and the shower, but the sink is in the middle.

There is free parking in front of Lidl but you need a green sticker. If you don't have the green sticker you can park in the hotel's underground parking for 17 EUR.
