Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicThe windows didn't have curtains so the street lamps made it difficult to sleep as well as early in the morning when the sun came up. The sound also travelled into the room from the hallway. The entrance and exit doors slam so this was a problem early in the morning around 6 am.
The rooms were spacious and one had a balcony and private bathroom. It was easy to come with a dog. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were just ok. We were pleasantly surprised that we had access to a small kitchen including a fridge.

GermanyThe check-in hour was 14:00 as everywhere, we arrived at the hotel at 13:55 and they didn't let us in even to the reception, they made us wait OUTSIDE, saying that we were early. However, at about the same time a family arrives, and there seems to be no problem for them to get in a few minutes before the check-in hour. Long story short, customer service is quite inferior. Later they showed us the room, which again unfortunately wasn't as described. In the description, it said that there is a hair dryer in each room, however, there is not any, and the owner lady said we could ask her for it if we need it. This does not make any sense!!!! The bathroom is tiny, and the toilet and the sink are so close, that when you sit on the toilet your head appears in the sink. The beds are very uncomfortable and so small, maybe they are for kids. The curtains in the room are so narrow that they do not cover the whole window and you have to wake up at 6 am even if you don't want to. There was a coffee machine in the hall, where you can put the coin and take your chosen coffee. BUT unfortunately, that didn't work either. My friend inserted 2 euros, and the machine just gave us water. An employee showed up at that moment and it took her about 10 minutes to figure out how to open the machine to add coffee in it. Finally, she added the coffee, but that didn't help, the machine still didn't work and we just decided to leave. In the meantime, the employee brought us 2 euro coins back one by one. At least they admitted that it wouldn't be fair to us to pay for coffee and get nothing. What is more, there was also no wifi in the room. There was information about it at the reception, but it didn't work in the room. For this whole experience, we paid 153 euros for 1 night (3 people), which is SUCH an over-price for this place.

Very close to supermarkets, restaurants and transport. You can easily travel to the centre of town in under 20minutes. I would definitely recommend, My best hotel experience in Europe so far.

GermanyOur balcony was a bit dirty. More importantly, it was connected to someone else's window, so that we couldn't just leave our window open during the night as we'd like in this heat.
The lady at reception was very cordial and friendly in every way. Showed us to our room and gave a couple of recommendations for our visit to the city.

UkraineThe hostel is not worth the money and absolutely does not match the description! 1. Written that there is Wi-Fi. But there is absolutely no internet! Even the bad one. 2. In the photo there is a closet in the room. There is no closet/wardrobe here. 3. It says there is a hair dryer in the bathroom. There is no hair dryer. 4. "Entrance by key" - this is what shocked us the most ... The key fits all doors: the front door to the hostel, the door to the room and the door to the toilet and bathroom. 4. All doors quickly slam shut: if you forgot the keys, then you stay on the street or in the corridor. 5. The security of things in the room is also not guaranteed, since everyone has the same key. 6. The kitchen has a microwave, fridge and kettle. Kitchen utensils: there are cups, plates, 2 knives and 1 saucepan. But! There is no stove in the kitchen, nothing can be cooked. There are no spoons and no forks. 7. Food disappear from the fridge. There is an inscription on the refrigerator: "Dear guest If you want food in the fridge , please seal it before . You can use plastic wrap for it that you can find in one of the drawers. Please put a post-it with your room number and your name on your food . You can find the post-it and a pen also in one of the drawers . If you don't do so your food may be thrown away without any compensatory. Thank you for your understanding!" None of this is forewarned. I looked for a sticker and a pen in the drawers: nothing. In addition, there were a lot of products of different people in the refrigerator and nothing was signed. As a result, food disappeared somewhere every day. 8. The view from the window overlooks a small but noisy street along which there is very active traffic in the morning. 9. There are blinds on the windows that do not close the window even halfway and are translucent. 10. The triple room has 1 double bed and 1 cot (camp-cot). This is nowhere indicated and is not visible in the...
Close to the center. You can park your car along the road for free next to the hostel. Shop not far. Plenty of outlets in the room, as if there used to be an office here.

GermanyThe size of the bed - definitely not a double bed for tall people like us. The cot we requested was very unfit for a child to sleep in - no mattress and bedding and unnecessarily too big. Also the receptionist wasn't very friendly and her instructions rather confusing.
I liked the location - easy access to the city and the balcony - great chance how to cool down on a hot day.

GermanyVery bad experience. The guy at reception (looks like the owner) was lying and saying it wasn't paid. After trying to convince me for a few minutes I showed him the payment bill on my phone and he suddenly said "okay, okay". Then I asked him to give me the keys and he didn't hesitate. All this took almost half an hour, and during this uncomfortable time the phone rang many times and he picked up the phone aggressively and in bad manners. Honestly, If I had known this would happen I would have chosen another hotel and paid a bit more just to avoid this horrible experience. As a final note, the toilet didn't have toilet paper nor towels. The room was very clean, but I didn't even had a shower as it was disgusting.
