None, a perfect stay all in all!

We were upgraded to a Maisonette room which had 2 bathrooms. The amenities at the hotel are superb with a swimming pool, gym, sauna etc. Breakfast included in the stay was really elaborate. Ample parking space and was a little away from the town. Riessersee lake right in front is an added beauty and was a good hiking option. Overall a perfect stay to chill and relax.

Perhaps if there is something that could be improved is the spa area: - could use some refreshing. - it was quite loud due to children. - While the saunas are excellent, they are separate from the pool/jacuzzi area. Saunas are designated for adults and nude only, while the pool/jacuzzi is for everyone. If you want to use both, this may require changing swimwear frequently, which for us personally was not that comfortable

Perfect escape destination for us. - The hotel is situated in a stunning area, ideal for a leisurely walk around Riessersee. - On-site restaurant boasts an incredible view of the lake (please note: closed on Mondays and Tuesdays). - Excellent staff; very friendly and professional. - Both breakfast and dinner at the restaurants were very satisfying. - Free parking available. - A cozy open space with a chimney creates a pleasant atmosphere for playing board games, billiards, and other activities, or simply enjoying the bar. Perfect for winter or rainy evenings. The room was clean, recently renovated, and comfortable.

The beds were comfortable and clean, but we wanted to keep them joined and that was almost impossible since that they had roles. However this was not a big deal.

This is not really something that we did not like, more suggestions for even more excellent job :D - as a dog-parent of the dog with food-allergies, it would be great to write what the snack is made of. As unfortunately, my dog cannot eat some specific things and it turned out that the snack was also not good for her :( - there were many young receptionists working in the hotel, perhaps it was training of some kind. But it slowed down our check-in. And we were quite tired from the road. The girl that checked us in was very friendly, but needed to check several things in the back office and we needed to ask about certain things ourselves (e.g. breakfast times, a ski-room or ski-lifts transport). So perhaps it would be good that there is always somebody more experienced also available at the reception desk.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. We stayed in several places in Alps, but Riessersee Hotel is really a gem for winter holidays. We stayed for a week and booked a half-board (highly recommended!). The meals were very tasty and plenty to choose from even for vegetarians. After skiing or winter hiking you can enjoy their wellness (we especially liked their Finnish sauna). And if you do not have enough movement, there is also a small but good gym. The hotel is also dog-friendly. Our dog had also 2 bowls, a blanket and some snacks prepared in the room upon our arrival. As it is situated by the lake with a stunning view on Zugspitze - every morning we enjoyed wonderful walks around the lake. There were also many small details that we loved, e.g. for example the postcard that you can send for free from the hotel, the morning news, a practical bag for the wellness area or a small snack that we got, when we were leaving the hotel. And all the people working there are so friendly! We will definitely come again.

for me there isn't enough choice of single malt Scotch whiskey but that's a matter of taste.

The hotel is in a quiet location just above Gramisch-Partenkirschen, making it an excellent starting point for extensive hikes, even or especially in winter. Not very far to Alpspitz Berg or Zugspitze, accessible by train. Especially during the Christmas period, in half board, there was a wonderful celebration and wonderful buffets. The newly renovated wellness area ensured relaxation. Rooms are very nicely furnished, you can find everything you want. Cozy bar for late evenings. Staff very friendly and accommodating, even with special requests.

If going by foot, the uphill towards the hotel was really challenging. It would have been nice to have a heads up or a warning.

The hotel's lakeside restaurant has its own special menu. You can eat and drink something here, paying the fee. We went to this restaurant with my wife. The employee here was rude to us, did not show us a seat, told us to "sit at an empty table" (this was not done to another couple). We were sitting for a while and no one came to our table and gave us a menu. While we were waiting for the waiter at the restaurant, a customer's dog ​​came to our table, my wife took her coat and left the restaurant. (We have been married for 17 years. My wife is afraid of dogs. In these cases, we do not leave the restaurant, we tell the waiter and change our table.) We did not go to this restaurant again. Our 9-day holiday at the hotel, other than this incident, was very nice and we enjoyed it.

The rooms (I booked rooms) were clean and comfortable. The hotel is quiet, clean and things are run very well. The employees in the building where our rooms are located are friendly and warm. 😀

The only negative thing we didn’t like was the strong smell in the room . We weren’t sure if housekeeping sprayed something but it was a very strong cologne/ perfume smell . So strong that gave me a headache and light nausea. We left the balcony door open and left the room for couple of hours but the smell didn’t go away . After reaching out to the front desk , one of the staff came to our room and confirmed the smell isn’t from housekeeping but definitely from the previous guest . Nothing was offered as a compensation or a room move

The hotel and area is beautiful. Is located in the mountains, surrounded by nature and a beautiful lake . The hotel offers parking. You can take a path to downtown that goes downhill, walking distance is probably 20-30min. The property has two restaurants. One offers a breakfast and dinner buffet. The restaurant on lake side offers lunch and dinner . The room was nice and clean. Staff was very friendly and amazing!!
