Room smelt musty on arrival And had to open all the windows and carpet had a lot of stains on it. Receptionist just gave me my room key and didn’t tell me where my room was. Had to come down and ask him as I couldn’t find it as it was a . Room

Close to Hbf ( 10 mins with tram) not so easy to find as scaffolding is covering the front of the room. Bed was comfortable

Initially hard to find because the booking didn't provide the exact address details. This wasn’t helped by the building currently being surrounded by scaffolding and plastic covering, due to external renovation work being carried out.

Breakfast: good, Kontinental type, buffet Self-service, lots of various foods to choose from, staff very friendly and attentive, if not part of the cost of the room, the cost as an add-on seems a bit on the higher end of the price scale (but that is my personal opinion when comparing it to other hotels in this rating range) Room: had a twin bedroom, which must have been upgraded / renovated in recent time, the bed and sheets were very comfortable, lovely bathroom all shiny and new. Loved it and made a follow-up reservation for the week after next. Location: Exiting the hotel and turning left, the Turmstrasse U9 (U-Bahn) station is a bout 2–3-minute walk away, and the Zoologischer Garten (oposite the Frauenkirche and KuDam) is only 2 stops travelling in the direction of Rathaus Steglitz. There are also numerous shops and restaurants within a radius of about 500 m from the hotel.

After reading some of the reviews I was scared of what I would experience. I find most of the bad reviews exaggerated. The hotel is badly isolated, you can easily hear your neighbors. But in my opinion the issue is the guest’s behavior rather than anything else: people getting heavily drunk and loudly puking, making noise in the middle of the night with no respect for others.

The hotel is well located, close to public transport and nearby a park. Friendly staff. The hotel is a bit old yes but the rooms are very clean and functional.

It was under renovation, and did not have enough light in the room. The first room they gave me was very dull, but as soon as I saw it - i asked to change and the lady on Reception was helpful and understood and gave me another room that was better.

There was a water bottle in the room which was labelled "For your refreshment". Only after I had opened it I saw a sign at the back of the bottle declaring they would charge 4 euros for it! There were building works in front of my window which I could not open despite an exceptional heatwave.

I booked a Deluxe room but received a Standard one, based on the comments from other guests it seems to be a common issue. It looks like this big Deluxe room from the pictures simply does not exist. The building is under renovation with the whole facade and windows taped, I wish it had been communicated in advance

I think, the furniture in the room need to be upgraded, as it feels very old (especially carpet, chairs). The shower was leaking through the glass doors from below.

There were so many hairs on the bed! Housekeeper should use another way to deal with her hairs. Not pleasant at all. Also the room was quite cold.

No free amenities like tea, coffee or water. There was a bottle of water with clearly on it 4 euro if you open it. Heating in the room first day was cold, other days way too hot. There were construction works and all staff did was a sign to say sorry for possible inconvenience...it started 8 a.m. and on Monday even earlier! The pillows were terrible. Bed too hard and noisy. Rooms/furniture were old fashioned not as expected from the pictures. When we arrived there was a lady who was checking out because she was unsatisfied

Huge renovation going on, not informed when booking nor before arriva. It came as a bad surprise and make the place unconfortable and unpleasant. Rooms have a very dirty/old carpet. Not a good value for money during works.

Price in line with practices during special events, slightly below theoretical similar offers. Room size is good.
