How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Noise in the room at night from the spa
Spa is nice and very interesting; breakfast is exceptional good (In reality, hotels rarely have such a good and varied breakfast!).

unfortunately coffee machine was broken all our two breakfasts, parking zone is too small - it could be a situation that you do not find free parking place

The rooms and beds are worn out and require renovation. I wouldn't recommend booking a room on the 1st floor due to privacy concerns. Keep in mind that the parking space is for max. 10-12 cars so if you arrive later there won't be any spot left. One critical issue with room keys is that they are heavy and you need to bring them with you when going to the SPA. People not staying in the hotel get a chip bracelet to enter the SPA which would be much more convenient.
The SPA area had everything you needed - various saunas, a pool, and a bar. Breakfast was delicious but nothing extraordinary. We also liked the SPA rituals which are offered freely to anyone but the guide speaks in Estonian. Overall, great value for the money.

No basic toiletries were provided in the room. Even no shampoo or shower gel. Slippers available only upon a request in a reception.
Nice spa! Good breakfast! Everything was fine! Special thanks to Voldemars for the sauna ritual and even giving some Saaremaa travel tips.

Breakfast is ok but gets too limited after 2-3 days. It gets crowdy on weekends overall (all included) prices are not cheap
SPA is large and rich with quite many options. Very comfortable during the week as there is less people nice food at the restaurant and same options are available by the pool (nice drinks as well) Some massages were very nice (head/shoulder Indian style) helpful staff

A system with key wrist bands for a locker as a hotel guest would have been very good really. We had to bring the room key with us to the spa and keep it in a bathrobe pocket. While I think the risk for theft is probably non-existent in this place, it increases the risk for it getting lost, like if someone takes your bathrobe by accident. Lighting could have been darker overall in the spa, especially in the main room. Smoothies in the bar would have been nice.
Lots of different saunas. Cold pool next to the hottest sauna. Great breakfast and great bar food available from the spa bar. Their own restaurant is a very cozy stone cellar place, it's a nice atmosphere for both breakfast and dinner. Lighting in the spa not too bright, but more on the darker atmosphere side overall, which is a good thing for a spa. The main pool has several streams. Saunas very modern and all have their own unique design - the nicest collection of saunas I've seen so far in Estonia.

There was no holder for the showerhead in bathroom. For a spa hotel there should be heating rack for swim clothes and towels.

The spa area is nice and cosy, saunas are good - my favorites are kadaka sauna and the one located outdoors! And the staff was really-really nice and friendly! I always like to go back to Grand Rose for a spa break in Saaremaa!

Avoid the rooms on the ground floor facing the spa area. People pass your window even late at night as it seems to be a short cut to the parking lot and disturbs your privacy. The hotel should close this short cut.
Breakfast was wonderful, very good selection. Also the restaurant offers delicious food. Spa area is beautiful and convenient. Staff very friendly, room is clean and also very comfortable and free parking available.

There was quite heavy smell of chlorine in the hallway. You can see that the spa needs some reservation but it is nothing too bad.
Spa has a variety of saunas that are all very relaxing and nice to be in. There are several pools and a couple ones for children. Breakfast is very nice with a lot of choise. The room wassimple but spacious.

We liked everything here.
The best spa experience ever. A very romantic place, we will certainly come back! The pool and sauna areas were peaceful and quiet even though there were many parents with children. We really enjoyed our time here. We would have stayed for a second night but the hotel was fully booked. It was first time in pools and saunas with our 4 months old baby boy. So happy we stayed at Grand Rose.

In spa area would be nice to have drinking water not ice cold but room temperature. Ice cold is not good after sauna
