Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaFacilities were extremely run down or non existent, which we are okay with generally and were expecting that but don’t expect much in the way of facilities, amenities or food/drink options. Very basic, but adds to the “authentic” charm.
Location was stunning, coral garden out the front in the beach. Stunning. Very beautiful and relaxed place. Not for anyone wanting a “luxurious” experience by any stretch.

ItalyThe tide goes very low and it become slightly uncomfortable to swim. Also, crazy amount of flies, even in the water.
The resort it’s right on the beach, from the bungalow you literally walk 30 meters and you’re into the water. We were the only guests and the staff made amour stay lovely. Food was really good and water was provided if asked.

United StatesFacilities need work. Lack of power most of the day. Having a fan during the night would have helped a lot.
Very few people, so we got personal treatment from friendly staff. The snorkeling was easily accessed and pretty good. Ocean view.

New ZealandIt was not electricity, only a couple of hours during the night, but it was good to save the battery on your phone and not spend too much time with it.
I booked this place at the last minute and at the beginning I wasn't too sure because the place didn't look like the pictures. I think the place was abandoned after COVID, and now they are back again. Apart from that, we had an incredible time. The staff is lovely, and the food was great! The beach was super quiet. There was not much to do there. If you want just to relax, this is the place!

AustraliaElectricity only available 2 hour in the day and 3 hour in the night, no wifi, no facility, the excursions is really limited. The beach is full of dead coral washed up to beach. Can't sleep due to wave sounds, no fan during nights.
The owner decided to cut the electricity for the guest. It a tropical country how do you expect people sleep without at least a fan??

New ZealandThe staff don't interact much with guests like in other resorts. We felt completely alone, only thanks to the other guests the experience was very good. The toilet was constantly leaking. There was no electricity after 10 pm, we were completely dark in our room. We got some solar light after complaining. During the day, they use generators instead of solar. They should change this like in other resorts. The internet on this beach doesn't work properly, the staff wanted to charge us 2 dollars per hour to use their WiFi. My Fiji Vodafone sim card worked good on the other islands, but not here.
Food was excellent. The place is beautiful, but dated and a lot of maintenance issues to be repaired. The room was cute.

United KingdomThey turn the electricity off for most of the day, only to turn it on 10-12am and 6-9pm which is when you are usually out of the room. This also meant no fan at night which made it unbearably hot. Not much to do here and the few activities on offer (village visit or manta day snorkelling) were heavily priced against other resorts. Loads of flies everywhere, and all along the beach. Pool completely empty and a lot of the resort looks a bit abandoned, not sure how well it recovered after Covid.
It was great to be on the beach front, the bungalows are a few feet away from the sea. Nice reef to snorkel in and the beach goes on for miles so nice to walk along. Bungalows were spacious and modern.

AustraliaKorovou was our fist stop in the Yasawa, Naviti was just beautiful! Best snorkelling with Mantaray and the coral are so heathy and colourful. This is a family run lodge with good cleaning standards and setting, food plan is compulsory but satisfying and freshly made! We found the Yasawa flyer bit expensive but it is not the accommodation fault, if you can plan it earlier Korovou offers private boat ride from Lautoka for groups but at least 4 people.

ArgentinaEverything was perfect
Amazing location on Naviti island reachable with the Yasawa flyer in 2,5 hours which we enjoy very much! Our bungalow have everything we needed , clean and peaceful. Electricity is limited so be prepared to a very local experience in touch with nature and people. Best snorkelling with Manta rays too! *Make sure to bring cash with you because they dont accept cards.
