If you need to be in the city in the evening it's a bit hard to return by public transport. Strange rules like only able to use the kitchen between very limited hours. The hostel receives groupes (schools/..) so if there is a group It could be noisy and when there are no groups it is really calm as there are, now in winter, not too many travellers. The question about the staff is hard for me to answer as some were really friendly/helpful and others less. The lady who let me in was pretty cold and I noticed she was talking about me behind my back. (She made the other girl watch me, closed the door of the reception, they we're talking, afterwards she opened the door again.) This doesn't make you feel welcome. Because of the way this lady pronounced my name I could't help from thinking it was because of my roots (dutchspeaking from Belgium). At the other hand all the other staff was really nice and helpful to me.

Beautiful place in nature with nice views and a lovely garden with aromatic herbs. The building is an old little castle. It's very beautiful as it's surroundings are as well too. The kitchen is almost a professional kitchen tot cook in. The question about the staff is hard for me to answer as some were really friendly/helpful and others less. The kitchen and bathroom were clean.

There were no towels (about what I asked before and get answer they have them). Also there was written that they have bikes which we can use. Bikes also wasn't there...

The girls in réception charged me extra 2 € and I did not notice until I check my email. I asked why and they told me it's for the fidelity card for the hostel but I did not asked for it and also they did not gave me that card until I asked for the extra charge. They should ask you whether you want to buy the card or not. It is a dishonest strategy to sell.

I liked the building, it's very big and it has a nice view from the tables in the exterior. The breakfast was good.

This is not really a hostel, there were little kids everywhere. Wifi only on the ground floor. The bathrooms were a bit dirty and the room was tiny. From some bunkbeds there was no access to a power socket. The showers only had cold water. The location is definitely not the best, it's far away from the center. A very very very high price for what they had to offer. Would not really recommend staying there.

The staff was nice and there was breakfast. They have lockers, but you need your own lock.

No fans and or aircons in the rooms made it super hot at night. They advertised a "very good breakfast" which is misleading when it's only cornflakes, coco pops and baguettes.rather just say breakfast with coffee and juice an tea

Located in a good neighborhood, but pretty far from the center. Takes at least 30 minutes to get to the Vieux Port and that requires 20 minutes of walking. Lots of walking and a long transit ride to get to and from the train station as well.

Overall clean and comfortable. Nothing special. Breakfast was standard, but good - cereal, yogurt, baguettes, coffee, tea, juices, and very hard boiled eggs. Nice picnic table area outside and a good view from the garden. Kitchen was clean and has a stove, oven, fridge, pots, pans, utensils, and dish ware.

The hostel is far away from center and the metro station. Don't book it if you do not have a car because it's very inconvenient to get to places. There were rats in the outdoor area, but i guess it's normal in France. Reception staff were okay but the cleaner tried to kick out some girls from the room 30 minutes before check out time

The hostel had pretty cool outdoor area with a nice view to Marseille. Breakfast was a big plus and everything was very clean.

Very good location and easy to reach from the City Centre. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. A tranquil place to stay, helped by the excellent Metro system. I would highly recommend this Hostel.

Beautiful location! A short ride into Central Marseille. The staff were simply fantastic - very kind and went above and beyond any expectations to make my stay perfect. The rooms were very clean and large in size. The breakfast was plentiful and healthy.

The staff was exceptional. They helped me to find a route to go hiking in the Calanques which was simple and effective -- google maps made it seem more complicated than it actually was. They also let me leave my suitcase there for the day after checking out which really relieved a lot of stress so I could spend another day in Marseille! Merci beaucoup!!

I have been stolen my computer because of the lack in security. All what has been said to me: there is no thiefs here, very nice. The location is too far from the subway and is badly served by the bus. You will miss everything happening in the centre. Do not come back late in the evening. You might walk through a climb during 25min. The beds are so uncomfortable... good luck.

The location could be good in summer, nice to eat outside.
