Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWhilst true to size, the small double bathroom was smaller than I had envisioned. We couldn't sit on the toilet without our knees hitting the wall and I couldn't even bend down in the shower.
Lovely hotel with good amenities close to the Pleney. Staff couldn't be nicer, shout-out to Cedric who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.

United KingdomLovely cosy boutique hotel, with a great location equidistant between the Super Morzine and Pleney gondolas, just 200m away. Comfy beds, relaxing lounge and bar after a day on the mountains, good breakfasts. The staff (Cedric and Francoise) were really friendly and helpful, even making dinner reservations for us. A great choice!

United Kingdomlike most 3 star accommodation in ski resorts, the bathrooms are small and this one is no exception. A bath would be more desirable, but the sauna goes some way to alleviate that.
The Staff are amazing, they could not do enough to make your stay fantastic, especially Sedgwick and Francoise. The communal areas with pool table, tv lounge and the exceptional decor / themed rooms. The space to chill out and relax and a nice bar area. Sauna was very beneficial after a hard day skiing. Breakfast was just the right balance. varied and delicious. the catered for dairy free and I’m sure gluten free if you ask.

United KingdomI only didn’t give top marks as it’s a walk to Plenny but closer to Super Morzine. Not really a problem as all Morzine locations are either closer to one or other

United KingdomWifi was a little spotty downstairs, fine in the room though.
Francoise the proprietor was very helpful before we arrived, answering my emails promptly. Cedric the main "guy" was a superstar, always a smile on his face and helped with anything we asked. The hotel facilities and breakfast were excellent. The ski room is small but well organised for enough storage for everyone. The recreation rooms in the basement are really decent as are the lounge areas. We couldn't have been happier and would definitely stop there again if coming back to morzine. Just a real pleasure!

IrelandIf i really had to be picky, there is a slightly bad odour in the basement of the hotel which can sometimes be smelled in the lobby - suggest lighting some scented candles
Amazing staff, very welcoming every morning and evening. Much obliging when our parents visited for drinks, and left out breakfast for us for our early departure. Upgraded our room to a family room which was a welcomed surprise. Loved the bar area, breakfast selection and comfy beds. I rarely have a property exceed my expectations but Bel'Alpe certainly did, I will be back.

United KingdomIt's difficult to find any criticism, if anything it's that the rooms were not huge. I was staying in a twin room with a work friend - we found it necessary to shift the beds apart to give each other a bit more space.
The most standout feature of the stay was the staff. In particular there was a staff member facilitating the breakfast in the morning and running the bar in the evening who could not have been more friendly. We were made to feel very welcome and very well looked-after. Beyond that, the breakfast is very good with plenty of hot and cold options, and an excellent coffee machine. We had superior rooms - these were not large but were very comfortably furnished and had nice details in the lighting and convenient plug sockets, as well as a balcony with views across the village. The amenities included games rooms, a very comfortable lounge, a sauna, and a ski/drying room. The ski room was really useful for us. Lastly the location is perfect, very convenient for restaurants and shops, but also for skiing it's right between the Pleny and the Super Morzine lifts, maybe a five minute walk from either of them.

United KingdomNot a lot for me. Some guests may prefer there to be a lift if on the third floor - for me good exercise!
Exceptionally helpful, friendly and welcoming staff. Great ambience - the owner has really created a superb, personalised, welcoming vibe - bar/lounge area is great (it’s just possible they like FatBoy lamps). Location is good - shops, bars, restaurants and 2 main ski lifts within 5-8min walk. Rooms simple, nice alpine feel, well equipped. Breakfast - good selection. Facilities - games room and sauna.
