The hotel was under construction and Booking did not mention it. So of course we were surprised and scared of the noise Saturday morning. We shared it at the receptionist but she could have told us to expect noise from 8.30am... it was a weekend so we did not expect it... not nice because for once we did not have our kids and we wanted to sleep...

Terrible to non-existent wifi. The lighting was appalling with no lights bulbs or switches not working in lounge, hall and bedrooms.

It is rather tired - the carpets, wall paper and fixtures are due to be replaced. The current carpets and corners could do with some attention for a cleaning. There are floors for smoking but smoke is evident on non-smoking floors and there seemed no way to open windows to ventilate

The staff are friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is good. The location is excellent.

We didn’t get the room we had booked that was a disappointment. Did get another big room but not a discount on this. I didn’t have to pay the 10 euros for the parking garage but still it would have been nice. The bar downstairs wasn’t functioning yet.

Very nicely located. Walking distance from the center with lots of restaurants etc. Great to be able to park the car at the hotel. Rooms were a good size. Very friendly staff. The rooms are nicely decorated, nice curtains, but could do with a little update as long as they don’t make it to modern! Great you’re able to take the dog with you. Keep the homey feeling. Breakfast was good.

Friendly welcome. Very helpful recommendations for nearby restaurants. Easy access to the room by lift. Spacious room with a nice view over the river. An excellent breakfast with very fresh local produces. A very enjoyable stay so would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Parking below hotel is extremely small with difficult access (I damaged my car). ended up parking outside. My room was opposite a busy road so very noisy, difficult to sleep. Air conditioning wasn't working.

The bathroom, while spotless and roomy, could do with a little update but we didn't have any problems as such with it.

Staff were absolutely lovely, especially the young man that checked us in, very helpful and polite. The room was spotless and very comfortable with wonderful views of the river. The breakfast was excellent too, excellent pastries and coffe.

The hotel needs a good renovation. Bathroom was old and had a funky smell of sewage. The carpet in the room was old and a bit dirty.

State of furnishing and maintenance. Carpet old, glass curtains torn. No climate control for the bucks you pay. Receptionist told us the hotel has left BW and joined Alfred, which comes with a renovation of all the rooms. Hopefully this also means climate control in every room. Breakfast buffet is ok but certainly not lavish. There is a slate saying you can wave for personnel to bring your drinks but when asked the lady instructs you to take your glass and find the bottles where they are. Not really managing the clients expectations this. When returning to our room for an afternoon nap we found all doors in the corridor open to get some air movement to freshen all rooms up; all windows open. We weren't happy to find our stuff (and other peoples) unprotected.

Location is great, within 5 minutes walk you'll find the historic city center. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Great to be able to park in private covered parking for a small fee. Also, the suites are quite big, with a smaller bedroom and a spacious sitting room.

Breakfast was divers, but the options were poor nutritionally, natural fibers were only some fruits, but no veggies. Too many sweets. Lighting in the bathroom was very poor, I could barely see myself while putting on makeup. Parking cannot be reserved on site., therefore I ended up on parking on the street. There was a electric kettle, but no tea bags or instant coffee. No glasses in the room. Minibar was empty. The soap dispenser was broken in the bathroom.

The room had also a desk, so I could work on my laptop. Parking was public in front, but places were available. Good news was that between 7PM and 8 AM parking is free. Room is big enough to fit 2 persons, including the dresser option. The receptionists were very nice. There is a restaurant right next to the hotel, open till 9PM.
