Location was good, Breakfast was amazing, many things home cooked and delicious. Our room was immaculate and large Carole attentive and answered all our questions, helped booking nearby restraunts, made us feel really at home. Will definately be back.

The shower for our room was a bathtub with handheld shower. The tub was a bit slippery & would not be too easy for older folks. Though the stairs didn’t bother us, there was no elevator ( very common in France). These were not negative s for us, only something to be aware of when booking.

This is a very lovely property. An old home that has been renovated on the edge of town. It is a few minutes walk to town. It is very quiet, well appointed, comfortable and serves a very full breakfast. The garden is beautiful too. We would definitely recommend this, and would love to return here!

Our host and hostess were so welcoming and helpful! Carolee’s breakfasts were absolutely delicious and so beautifully prepared and a lovely setting. Our stay was delightful and wish we had a few more days!

Beautiful home with everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Close to town, so you could walk to the sites, restaurants and the train station. Carole is a wonderful host and provides many wonderful touches to your stay - excellent breakfast, complimentary beverages, documentary videos of the locations you might be visiting, and lots of literature to give you additional ideas for touring.

This is NOT a complaint...just a recommendation. If you experience mobility issues and/or are very tall, you may want to consider not staying in the attic (third floor) guest room, as it requires climbing a narrow set of spiral stairs, and the sloped ceilings in the bedroom and bathroom present a potential contact hazard for your head.

The property was impeccably maintained - inside and outside. Everything was clean and fully functional. The location was ideal for exploring Bayoux and a reasonable commute to the Normandy attractions. Our host (Carole) was friendly and thorough, and prepared a 5-star breakfast each morning. A positive experience in every respect!

The room was super comfortable and clean. You can tell Carole puts a lot of love in what she does. The breakfast was fantastic not only in the impeccable presentation of the tables but also in the taste of the food. We also had access to a lot of the things Bayeux offer. Thanks a lot for a great experience.

We enjoyed a love stay at Clos de Bellefontaine. A great location and Carole the perfect host. The only issue was getting out heavy and large luggage up the narrow stairs to the top bedroom. Left the luggage in the car and only took up what we needed. Problem solved.

It was a bit hot when we stayed, (bit of a heatwave), so aircon would have been good, but the fan kept us cool enough.

Carole the host was fantastic. The location is close to everything in town, and Carole gave us some good tips on where to go. The breakfast was 5 stars. Cleanliness was fantastic and towels were changed when needed.Great place to stay if you go to Bayuex.

This was a beautiful property, with a very gracious host. The breakfast was incredible, with special treats every morning. I wish we had been able to stay longer. It was a close walk to the village and easy drive to all the D-Day beaches.

Perfectly situated in the centre of Bayeux within walking distance of the historic centre. Beautiful house and Carole is a wonderful attentive host who is so helpful in every way. The breakfast was wonderful and beautifully presented. A perfect stay in a lovely city.

The bathtub was kind of narrow but not a big deal.

Such a unique place and loved that our room overlooked the garden area. The breakfast every morning was so wonderful! Carol made our stay so nice by offering up ideas of places to go and places to eat in town. Our room and bathroom was cleaned every day! Wasn’t expecting that! Wonderful experience!
