My stay was too short...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming chateau, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the hospitable owners, who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Their warmth and genuine kindness set the tone for a truly memorable experience. The property itself is nothing short of stunning. It's beautifully maintained, showcasing a perfect blend of classic elegance and modern comfort. Every corner of the chateau reflects meticulous care and attention to detail, making it a delightful place to relax and unwind. What really stood out during my stay was the sense of community among the staff and other guests. Everyone was very nice, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere that made it easy to connect with others. Whether it was sharing stories over coffee in the morning or enjoying a glass of wine in the evening, the ambiance was simply lovely. Overall, this chateau is a gem that offers not only breathtaking surroundings but also a heartfelt hospitality that makes you feel right at home. I can't wait to return!

Incredibly hospitable hosts, a charming castle in the middle of nature. We could see deers from the castle, we played with the 4 cats, we took long walks on the domain. It was quiet and relaxing and beautiful. We would come back any day!

Air conditioning/ heat pump was a little noisy (perhaps we only noticed it because everything else was so quiet), but it worked fine.

The property and rooms are just beautiful. It was the most comfortable stay on our trip through France’s wine country. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, they had great recommendations of where to eat and what to see and helped us plan our days in the region. I cannot recommend this property enough!

The room was a little cold but there was heating available which must run off the main controls.

Really amazing chateau accommodation. Awesome location, Nazelles-Négron is a charming village located near Amboise in the Loire Valley. This is a beautiful old property that has been tastefully renovated. Awesome location for a romantic holiday or wedding. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. They include breakfast with the package and the breakfasts were very tasty. Our room was very comfortable, the bed especially so, lovely linen and bedding, luxury. The bathroom was huge and had a really good pressure shower. You drive in off the road to the property and there is secure parking next to the Chateau. They were very dog friendly to us and we really enjoyed our stay here.

We loved everything!

We loved everything about our stay! Lodovica and Patrick were great hosts, very helpful and personable. They wanted to make sure our stay was just right. The room was lovely, spacious and full of light and the views from the windows were spectacular country vistas with plenty of greenery. Lodovica arranged for a wine tasting for us at a nearby natural winery, which I would highly recommend if you are interested in learning about natural/biodynamic wine production -- Chateau de Montdomaine -- owned by Luisa and Fred. The location was a short drive out of Amboise and very close to Chateau Chaumont-sur-Loire and several others. There was also convenient parking on the property for our rental car. We loved every minute of our stay!

Staying at the chateau was an overall amazing experience. The owners are such exceptional hosts with so much attention to every detail - both on a personal level (with lots of good talks and great recommendations for the area) and in terms of the thoughtful design of the whole place (felt like staying in an architecture magazine). Breakfast was simply incredible.

The owners and hosts Lodovica and Patrick could not have been nicer or more helpful. Lodovica is an amazing chef and on request we had a wonderful dinner at the Chateau. Breakfast is served at the table in the beautiful green dining room and everything is fresh and where possible from the gardens. The grounds are vast and have lots of nice spots to sit and relax. It is very quiet and we slept incredibly well, the bed was super comfortable. At sunset Patrick prepared a lovely aperitivo with local wine and homemade snacks. The atmosphere is very relaxed and you feel like you are staying at a friend’s house.

One of the most hospitable hosts in all of our stays over last several years. Really went out of their way to make us comfortable. We said we were hot and the host went out and bought three fans for our rooms. Our daughter is allergic and they went out again and got oat milk for her. Then they arranged drinks for guests in the evenings. The rooms were super clean and there is a piano our daughter was allowed to use for practice. Very much loved the stay and appreciate the hospitality. Highly recommended. PS - breakfast was awesome too. :-)

Absolutely Horrifying Experience – A Serious Warning to Future Guests I cannot stress enough how important it is to avoid Château de la Huberdière. My experience here was nothing short of disturbing and unacceptable. During my stay, I stumbled upon a hidden room containing images of what appeared to be underage children. I immediately contacted the authorities, but when I returned to the room, the images had been removed. The entire situation was deeply unsettling. To make matters worse, the owner responded to my complaint by blocking my car in with a tractor, further escalating the tension. The grounds are unsanitary, with dog excrement scattered across the lawn, and the property itself is poorly maintained. The walls are paper thin, offering no privacy, and the deceptive photos online do not reflect the reality of how cheap and nasty this place truly is. There are gaping holes in the bedroom floors, flimsy plastic toilet seats, and no heating despite freezing temperatures. When we asked the owners about this, they said they don’t turn the heating on until November, leaving us to endure the cold. It was so bad that we requested the police to remain on the premises for our safety as we prepared to leave. The owners were still intoxicated when the police arrived in the morning, but unfortunately, the police were unable to take further action since there was no immediate evidence of a crime. I urge anyone considering a stay here to think twice – this is not just a bad experience, it’s a serious safety concern. Avoid Château de la Huberdière at all costs.

Honestly nothing I actually did not like

I loved the calmness and authenticity of the pro poetry as well as the family that owns it, so friendly! Also the breakfast even if limited was soooo cute!
