Location is stunning! The grounds are lovely to explore and the bedroom we stayed in felt wonderfully medieval but with modern conveniences.

A beautiful estate, the 16th Century chateau has beautiful reception rooms, with a stunning set of gardens. We loved the orangery and the newly restored dovecote. We woke up to the sound of the local church bells and enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the Keep, with parts dating from the 11th Century. Sophie was a very friendly and welcoming host who made us feel at home. Highly recommended.

    All was without fault.

This is an experiance I wont forget in a hurry. The place is like a fantasy straight out of a fairy tale. The accomodation dates back 900 years and includes a comfy 4 post bed. I expected to see a medieval knight walk into the room. Charles Henry was a briliant host and even gave us a tour of the chateau to boot.

Chateau and grounds were superb, just be aware that it's located in a small village with limited resources for meals out, so worth preparing in advance - either by pre-booking, or bringing your own picnic material so you can eat at one of the tables in the grounds.

Unique, authentic chateau environment with beautiful grounds. The main building is still something of a work in progress, but this doesn't detract from the charm. Rooms are huge and furnished with period items. Breakfast is excellent with local produce and the lovely hosts / owners are on hand with information and to provide anything they can to make your stay a happy one.

Spectacular castle. We absolutely loved having the opportunity to stay in a place like this. We staying in the main building. Breakfast was a bit expensive for what it was, but we didn't mind paying as our rooms were so reasonable. We'd definitely love to stay again.

Lack of information and facilities. There was no information on places to do in the area. There was no information regarding the history of the Chateau and it’s grounds. There was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. WiFi was not available in the area we were staying in.

Very comfortable with an excellent room. The chateau grounds were lovely as were the owners who were very accommodating regarding my car.

Accommodations were like stepping back in time! Truly charming, yet comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful! Our family really enjoys breakfast and this one was wonderful and beautifully presented with the best expresso I’ve had in France! Our host was so lovely to chat with and invited us to explore the grounds which were just as beautiful as the Chateau! We could not have been more pleased with our visit. Thank you.

    The weather?

Very unique experience. We stayed in the 13th century keep rather than the 17th century chateau. It was very cozy and well appointed. Our host's were very welcoming and we could tour the entire estate. Highly recommend.

WiFi did not reach our room because of the thick stone walls.

It was fun to stay in an authentic chateau as we started our week visiting the famous chateaux of the Loire. Hosts were very friendly and gave us a tour of the main chateau . We were in the original Donjon building, not the pictured castle, which I hadn’t understood. Breakfast was nice but was an additional €15 each.

From the website I thought we would be staying in the actual castle but when we arrived we realized we would be staying in the building next to the castle (not sure what it's called)....Not a big deal at all because our stay was amazing. Perhaps make it a little more clear on the website where the rooms are situated.

Loved the room and the decor - just like a story book! The canopy beds were comfortable, good sized room for my family. The host was lovely, breakfast was continental and very good and we had what we needed. the gardens were very cool to walk through. it was a great experience. Loved the peddle boats too - it was a great activity!
