How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Liked everything Maybe could have done with milk for my cuppa!
The location was perfect, very central. Staff couldn’t be more helpful, our flight was cancelled due to strikes and the staff straight away sorted us out. They advised on buses, times etc to Lake and showed us where to get on. Rooms cleaned regularly & we had an amazing view of the river & castle Breakfast was lovely, lots of fresh, varied options

Housekeeping could be better. We were out of soap since the first night. Luckily the receptionist gave us a bottle of soap on the first night but the empty bottles weren’t replaced during our stay. Restaurant a little overpriced.
Excellent location, room very quiet and clean. Cozy rooftop to enjoy a beautiful view of the medieval city while. Friendly staff on the reception. Great swimming pool.

Nothing to criticise really apart from the fact that the pool was a little cool.
Fantastic location between the Cite and Bastide. Wonderful to have a view of the Cite. The bar and restaurant were a perfect place to relax after a day exploring. Breakfast was great with lots of options

Room wasn’t ready at 3pm - had to wait another half hour . Indoor pool was not heated . Had to ask for more coffee, sugar and no milk given unless you went to get it yourself from coffee shop at reception . Had to swap pillows as feather .
I paid for a room with a balcony and we had view of river and castle over the river . Great location as just a walk over the bridge to the castle end .

Breakfast is overpriced for what it is
Fantastic location, right between the town and the old city. Had booked a courtyard room but ended up in a room with a perfect view of the old city. Pool was lovely, if a bit hard to find. Clean, quiet, and the staff are very helpful

Nothing to complain, just some notices: a bit expansive but in line with local prices of similar structures; the view of the cheaper room is a bit... "cheap" itself, let me say. Anyway, everything super ok.
Almost everything, super cool interiors, modern design room very well equipped, with also a Nespresso machine with 2 caps offered. Comfy bed, super shower. The terrace offers an outstanding view of the castle. They have a pay parking, but parking the car nearby is pretty easy (ask for info about where to park). Friendly and helpful staff. Very recommended.

Swimming pool was a disappointment as it has a ledge all around the perimeter under water that makes a short pool even shorter and narrower and this ledge is not obviously visible until you swim into it (ouch)! No robes, nor towels large enough were provided either. Really felt this whole area was an afterthought and lacked attention to detail which is a pity as it has such potential. Reception area completely undefined and unwelcoming.
We loved the location and the breakfast was fantastic. The lady in charge of the breakfast buffet went above and beyond keeping everything topped up and the tables cleared and cleaned despite being on her own with the hotel full! The view of the city from our balcony and the roof terrace was magical! The water fountains on each floor were excellent.
