How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It is a little further out but we knew this and used the metro and taxis. A little noisy outside at times
Nice and very clean hotel. Staff were really nice and helpful. Pool was pleasant. Overall we had a really good stay

There's not much of a vibrant neighborhood in the immediate vicinity -- you need to talk a few minutes to get to anything with personality. But it felt safe, which was important, and within 10 minutes of walking you can get to some cool shops and restaurants.
The swimming pool was FANTASTIC. What a nice, unique feature that truly makes the hotel feel extra special. And our room had a lovely deck that allowed us some fresh air outside. It was also a short walk to the metro. And there was a fantastic boulangerie (Artcarpus) just a 2-minute walk away.

The hotel location is far from most of Paris main attractions. There is a subway station very close, but still I recommend to stay in a more central locantion. Pool at the hotel is not very warm, I recommend for hot days only. Shower water was not very warm as well (up to 38C I believe).
Great hotel facilities, very comfortable and well-decorated. Amazing breakfast. Staff was helpful.

Our stay included breakfast, but the food was subpar. We had breakfast twice then stopped, it was not good in our opinion and the coffee machine was always malfunctioning and not working. Just walk to a nearby cafe for a better and less expensive meal.
We really like our apartment, it had everything we needed including a washing machine. Had a large private balcony with seating. Loved that there was a pool/spa available, too. Decent location, more of a business district, but is very close to Metro and quiet. Overall would stay here again.

The elevator was not working on one of the days.
I got upgraded on the second day. Lovely artsy wall designs. They kept my luggage safe when I was out of Paris for a day.

Nothing we did not like about the hotel and staff.
The staff at the hotel were very caring and friendly. Denis was very helpful with our issue with the pick-up service. He provided genuine hospitality to us. The breakfast was really good and all the staff at the restaurant were nice.

No decaf. coffee or tea in the room nor biscuits. The toilet was separate from the bathroom but there was no soap in the toilet. We were disturbed at night by a constant 'hum' probably from the air conditioning or generator. This was most unexpected given the quality of the hotel. At just over 500euros for two nights in a small deluxe room ( breakfast was additional) we felt overall the hotel was not quite value for money. However we recognise that hotel stays in Paris are generally expensive compared to many other European cities. Some minor changes as outlined above would have improved the value of our stay. Overall though we enjoyed the Drawing House.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was exceptional ( although at 19 euros per person it was perhaps to be expected). The pool and gym facilities were good. We enjoyed having a balcony in the room.

Sunday evening, our final night, May 12th, the one server in the restaurant (Lisette?)was not pleasant. She told us from the get-go that she wasn’t in a good mood because she had to work. Service was less than attentive. She was the only one in our 8-day stay that wasn’t polished and professional.
Breakfast buffet is top-notch! Staff is wonderful!

No door on the shower section of the bathroom. (Toilet was separate & within a proper room). We asked for & for twin beds but for some reason we did not get a fully private bathroom. As friends rather than a couple and a mirror directly opposite this area, it meant a lack of privacy. We didn’t realise this would be the layout!
The decor, cleanliness, friendly staff, water refill points. Good access to central & districts in Paris. Sauna & relaxation area (pool isn’t really for swimming).
