Very old facilities with run down furniture. Shower drain was clogged and flooded into the room a few times, and the corners were generally quite dusty. We didn’t have a working kettle. The blow drier is like a handheld phone with very low speed and heat.

Very central location with the old town and Promenade des Anglais jjust a few minutes walk away. Friendly helpful staff. Very comfortable beds. Loved sitting on our balcony overlooking the old town, the fountains and the sea.

We were initially given a room in which the bed was broken and had to move, we were then given another in which the windows didn’t open, making it quite stuffy, so we were moved a final time to the penthouse suite for a small extra fee

Amazing Location. Just a two minute walk from tram stations, close to the beach and the old town. Very nice room service, and the penthouse suite with a balcony has an AMAZINg view.

Show screen had a missing seal so the bathroom floor flooded. Spoke to reception and it still wasn't fixed when we left after 4 nights We had to use towels to stop the leak and soak up the water and towels were only replaced once.

Avoid room 229 this room has bars in the window. We were put of immediately. We were away for a romantic break there is nothing romantic about staying in a room like a scence from prison break,paying for it was just an insult. We asked to be moved and with some persuasion we were moved. The room lacked a few touches like extra towels,some soap and extra pillows would have been nice. The pool was not filled which was very disappointing as it was such beautiful weather.

Definitely recommend this hotel for the location,it is right in thr heart of Nice!! Central to the beach,restaurants,bars,shopping and the tram and train station. It was perfect. The breakfast even though it was a buffet it was exceptional. I would definitely book with breakfast. We generally don't like the buffet but this was really good.

There is a strong smell of something not very nice as you enter the hotel. Email correspondence before I arrived about some additions in the room was not followed up, despite sending several email. However this was quickly rectified by reception when I mentioned it.

The room was small, but had all we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet. The room was next to the lift, but still quiet.

The air conditioning in the room was not working very well which made for a difficult nights sleep. There also was a bit of a smell in the lobby area I think this was maybe caused by the rainfall. Drinks in the bar are overpriced and it was a shame that the pool on the roof was not open and the area was closed.

Excellent location, you can pretty much get to everywhere in around 15 minutes. A lovely old hotel with lots of opulence hailing back to a previous era. Feels somewhat like a 1960's film star location.

Excellent location for the Old Town, the beach and very handy having the park with fountains and playground just across the road. Rooms were a good size, very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Good selection at breakfast. Great views from the bar on the 7th floor!

Our room was a triple room and en-suite bathroom was a wet room.This meant after 3people showered ..wet room floor was extremely slippy and wet for a time.

Some of the staff were hit and miss. Some were extremely polite and friendly. Others seemed to need a class on profiling people that do not look like them. Even by myself, for the weekend I found the drawers too small. The room may benefit of a bit more storage within. I am a very short person and if found the toilet room very crowded. I was wondering if my husband with very long legs would have fit in there. Still, the toilet and bath were nicely remodeled.

Location was fantastic, just a few steps from Plaza Massena and edge of old town. comfortable to go in and out, Conveniently walking distance to tram to airport. Still quiet to sleep. I did not realize I was arriving by myself for carnival closure, but the location was perfect and convenient. I felt very safe all along. Many places to eat around as well in short walking distance. Room was comfortable, bed was comfortable. Nice free toiletries. The hotel has a rooftop area that I did not have the chance to enjoy. Breakfast buffet was very good and worth the amount I paid for it.

The 'hot' food at breakfast was always cold; the coffee from a machine and not 'real' coffee; the breads and breakfast foods were otherwise really good. The sun terrace has music piped all day and it was like being in a hip-hop club, so not relaxing at all, until I asked for the music to be changed and turned down to a non-intrusive level. There was also an exercise class that took place for over 2 hours on the small terrace and the music was loud.

I stayed in this hotel before some years ago and really liked it. The location is good and in a safe area, minutes from the shops and beach. The hotel is good and the room was comfortable. There are good facilities in the rooms and the bathrooms are clean and water is hot.

Breakfast was 6.5 out of 10 for me, but I do like English cooked breakfasts and I understand in France I won’t be able to get that kind of breakfast. I didn’t go hungry :)

There were perhaps few frills for a 4 star hotel but we had nothing to complain about.

It was in an excellent location next to the park near Place Masséna, easy walking distance to the Old Town, beach and main shopping area. The room was clean and bright and beds comfortable. Staff friendly and efficient and breakfast very good with lots of variety.

We moved rooms twice. The first 2 rooms were on the 4th floor and were very clean and fresh but they were very noisy and the toilet in the 1st room was too close to the wall. We were given and upgrade to a room with a balcony when we moved to the third room which was on the 6th floor and was a lot quieter but it was very hot, didn’t feel as clean and there was a funny smell, maybe from the drains. We were at the hotel for 3 night.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and after a long flight from South Africa made a plan for an early check in. The breakfast buffet was very good and the location was excellent.

Maintenance of rooms was good. materials used in renovation seemed fine, but over time will prove too fragile as the lacquer over good wood moulding and trim was already showing its would chip easily and become damaged looking in several years. Damage marks were caused by cleaning maintenance equipment bumping just with daily use. this finish system is good looking, neat and clean, but apparently will be easily damaged.

Room was clean in good location overlooking the park, and close to old town with its attractions, The best was comfortable, and room was adequately stocked. The second d floor dining room was spacious but food buffet was far from the seating areas. We have stayed here before and had eaten in top floor ares which was more attractive beneath the pool level outside floor.Mainennce

Old hotel. The first room (502) had an issue with the bathtub, and they moved me to another much better room. All premium, supposedly. Premium doesn't feel like premium. One person of the reception desk was very unfriendly. The breakfast is not worth the money. Better patisseries around with better quality. When I was booking, I wondered why it was only rated with 7 such an incredible good-looking hotel. Now, I also gave it a 7-point score.

Things I missed having were bathrobes, shampoo and conditioner (there was a shower gel/shampoo but I hadnt brought conditioner) and two comfortable pillows. An extra one was provided on request but was a very poor, lumpy quality. Also the fire alarm went off during the evening - think this was an error - but that highlighted that in fact there are no safety instructions in the room at all, so it took me a while to figure out where to go - there was no announcement either to explain. The quality of the Rose wine in the bar (by the glass) was very poor.

The position of the hotel was perfect for access to Old Town and shops. Room had a park view and was adequate in terms of comfort etc. Breakfast was good with nice selection of food. Staff I came across were lovely and helpful, except in the bar.
