Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The staff, from porter to reception and especially breakfast were really lovely. The rooms were great and the location was good. The beach club was a favourite. It was a very comfortable stay. Gym was OK - had enough for a decent workout.

United KingdomI don't like hosepipe showers over a bath. Our colleague had a nice walk in shower and we did not. A little upset this was not mentioned so we could voice our preference. This particular one had a small shower head and due to the stiffness of the hosepipe, it kepto twist and pointing at wall.

CanadaSuperior room feels like a cell - super small with a tiny window. The pool area is likely most deceiving - super small and in the courtyard that is shared with other buildings. Feels claustrophobic and the pool is more like larger jacuzzi (in every sense). The pictures on Booking.com are deceiving.
Breakfast is good, staff is pleasant and the hotel is clean. Prime location.

United KingdomHotel pool was very small and is not supervised. Although there is a sign stating no diving, no one adhered to it. There were kids and adults constantly diving, splashing anyone within a 2m radius. Towels by the pool were also always scarce.
The porters and security were super helpful and friendly. We booked loungers on the private beach (part of the hotel) and the hotel kindly allowed us to shower in one of the rooms when we came back (as we had already checked out). Was very much appreciated especially as the shower facilities by the pool were not appropriate for children.
