Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe shower basin overflowed a little and was not really fixed to the right level while we were staying.
It's a 15 minute walk/3 minute drive into Eygalieres which is a lovely town with great restaurants and bars. Breakfast was very good, staff very friendly and the pool and relaxation areas were very pleasant.

AustraliaThe Bastide was charming and very luxurious. The kids loved it as it has a pool and a trampoline, and they were able to go pick the eggs from the chicken coop. We got the family room that was very spacious with 2 separate bedrooms, bathroom with bathtub, AC, TV in each room and lovely country style decor. The village was charming with great restaurants that caters for all palates, and an approx 1hour drive to Avignon, Nîmes, Pont du Gard…. We really loved our stay there.

FranceBeautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. Staff friendly. Booking and checking in easy. All requests, (parking and room view) met. Room spotlessly clean. We only stayed one night and did not get to dine at the restaurant but in looked lovely and whilst taking a late swim saw happy clientele. Eygaliéres is a lovely village. The short walk from the hotel is an enjoyable one. Highly recommended. Merci.

SwitzerlandThe hotel is small and intimate. We had a great view from our room and enjoyed the cool aircon after hot days outside. We loved the food at the restaurant, sitting there with a glass of wine overlooking the property was very relaxing. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The pool area was lovely and a great way to spend a hot afternoon. The hotel offers a calm area with hammocks where you can snooze or read, and a play area. It is close enough to the village that we simply walked for coffee and dinner. All in all, great discovery and I will be back for sure.

SwedenWe noticed the shortage in good service staff. it it was fine though....it brings a relaxed atmosphere not having waiters constantly fussing over you. I liked it in the end.
The location, the pool, the gardens, the rooms everything is just in perfect condition. And kept nice with such attention to detail. Lovely and for such a good price.

The rooms had obviously been updated recently - especially the bathroom. The fittings were very smart and everything in the room was just right and in keeping with a Provencial hotel. I liked the fact that it was clean and smart without being like one of those soul-less business hotels.

SwitzerlandBreakfast was disappointing - the oranges for juice ran out altogether by 9.30 and the serving staff failed to notice that the eggs needed replenishment. The housekeeping staff had not noticed that my bathroom heated towel rail would not switch on and there seemed to be no electrician to fix it. Also there was no shower gel or face flannel. All details but the establishment would benefit from tighter management.
The location and ambiance were lovely.

FranceA little annoying was the fact that I asked for twin beds and got a double ,and that we had a room upstairs when I asked for a ground floor room. This may have been that one was not available ,but a message to tell me would have been welcome. The restaurant was very good and very reasonable pricewise , my only gripe was that the dishes were a little repetitive, in 4 nights several dishes came up twice, in what is a short menu. Perhaps a weeks menu could be devised that allowed for this,-just a thought!
The location of the hotel is great, the gardens and the pool area very nice as well. My GPS decided to have a break, so the final part of the journey was a bit difficult! The hotel is not easy to find, but once there ,it is easy the next time. The building has character inside and out, our room was a good size and the bathroom was first class. The air-con is very good, and very quiet, not that we needed it much as we had the window open all night as it is very quiet. Parking on site is very accessible and seems secure. The location for getting around the local area is good-lots to see.

ItalyThe room was nice, but with limited comfort. The bed was definitely too soft with no duvet and no backrest which made it uncomfortable and pushed me to raise the temperature of the heating system. I felt this was inappropriate for a 4 star hotel.
The hotel is set in a marvelous scenery, the building has the typical provencal character and is well kept with an outstandingly beautiful garden. There is a nice swimming pool which I did not use as I visited in March. It is a perfect environment for a quiet, restful holiday.
