We didn't like the decor despite it being in the 30 era .Our room was very drab and dark.

What a shame the hotel restaurant is not currently operating, it would make an excellent art deco dining room and terrace in that location.

Beautiful original art deco hotel in a great central location. Parking was easy in nearby underground car park and they offer a discounted price for hotel guests. The room was lovely and original, the bed was modern and clean, lovely modern, clean bathroom too. The continental breakfast was great, so many options including gluten-free. There was some work being undertaken in the hotel when we visited (at the moment the whole of France is getting ready for the Olympics!) with minimal disruption to our stay. Overall very nice stay, would recommend.

They are replacing the main elevator and the backup elevator stopped working the day before my arrival and stayed that way. The bed was quite uncomfortable and the bedding had not been properly assembled. I discovered on my last night that the two comforters in the duvet snapped together which hadn't been done. It made for a much nicer bed.

The location was great, the room was large, and the breakfast was amazing. The hotel is across from the train station and the tram yet I never heard a thing. One can get bus/tram passes; the 2 day one cost only 6.20.

Bathroom lighting inadequate and LED Mirror around sink no longer functioning properly. Access to corridors & rooms a bit convoluted and corridor and general signage needs improvement.

The room I had has seen better days and is in need of renovation- I do not like brown, but the room was mostly brown. For a one night stay it was just ok, but.. Breakfast was nice and staff friendly. Hotel is a few steps from the train station

Difficulty finding the hotel.

Centrally located near the station and an easy walking distance from the main attractions and restaurants. The breakfast was of a good standard but a bit expensive. The room was clean and basically appointed but suited our needs. Although parking was offered, there was no facility for this. However, there is an agreement with a parking station opposite for a 10 euro per day fee. The hotel is difficult to find as you cannot see it from the road, and will need to park the car first near the main station.

Driving in Tours is very challenging with the one way system and we had a lot of trouble finding both the hotel and the underground car park. Perhaps it should be highlighted that it’s next to the train station and the front is pedestrianised?
