Car park is extremely tight getting in and out. Also a lot of noise on my first night, not sure what it was but sounded like people cleaning up.

Beautiful setting, amazing views, staff extremely courteous. Swimming pool area is perfect for families. Breakfast also excellent.

It’s not walking distance from town.

Unless you drive everywhere you have to walk along a busy road with no footpath to reach the path to the beach.

Self catering apartment with a large terrace and sea view was a fantastic base. Collioure just down the road is beautiful to visit. Snorkelling in the cove near the property was a highlight. Staff were very friendly.

You need a car to travel to get evening meals at either Racou or the beach. Shame there’s not a shuttle or a walking route however they do make it clear on their website, so cannot complain.

Fantastic hotel and staff are great. Very good breakfast selection and decent snack bar for quick bites at lunch or in the evening. Room was perfect, modern and clean.

I guess somewhere to have simple dinner so that when you’re tired you don’t have to go into Colioure again ! Although Collioure restaurants & location are fab. But they do a taxi booking service so you can easily get to & from Collioure .

Great location, fabulous views & great breakfast & great coffee . Helpful & unobtrusive staff who all work very hard discreetly to keep it beautifully clean & comfortable. Love this place have been going for many years -it’s a little gem!

It does take some effort to walk from the hotel to the beach. You have to walk through the next hotel grounds and under the road and small railway. We could also have driven a few minutes and parked so not a problem really. The nearest little coves are a bit stoney but perfectly good and then the one you can drive to or walk if you are energetic called Le Ragou is sandy and attractive. No restaurant just a very limited snack offer. I expect you can eat in the next hotel but didn’t ourselves as only two night stay.

Enjoyed the swimming pool and adjacent jacuzzi with excellent views of the sea. Our room also had a balcony overlooking the sea which added to the experience. Generous size room. Varied breakfast and nice to eat by pool.

The poolside facilities (toilets etc) are down a flight of steps so a bit of hard work with a baby.

We stayed in two room types during our stay, a family studio and a family room. Both were near the kids playground and a level down from the main hotel and pool. The facilities for children were better than we expected and the snack menu a good option for a quick early dinner for the little ones. The location close to Collioure and Argelès-sur-Mer is fantastic as long as you’re willing to drive a short way. The views across the sea are stunning! Gorgeous hotel!

Fabulous location. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel does not provide dinner but arranged dinner at the adjacent hotel a few minutes walk away. Excellent swimming pool and pool area. Although we had no children with us the facilities for children appeared excellent. Good breakfast.

Mosquitos can be a problem in this general part of the country so do pack some repellant.

We stayed as a family of 4 at Les Mouettes for 14 nights and enjoyed every minute we were there. We booked a family room with a garden view, which was perfect and very quiet. The gardens are very well maintained too. As the hotel is on a hillside the views (and sunsets) are wonderful down to the sea and the beaches of La Racou. As it's not in the town itself it's quiet and away from the crowds. Staff were relaxed, attentive and very helpful. The buffet breakfast was a firm favourite and I fully recommend you select it with your booking. The pool is great and the hot tub is just icing on the cake. Sitting in it with the view of sea and the blue sky above is very decadent! Our room was attended to each day and a special thanks to the cleaning staff who were amazingly thorough and quick (I lost an earbud in the bed sheets and it was found and carefully placed on my bedside table!) Some things to be aware of; the hotel doesn't have it's own restaurant but does offer a good menu of preprepared snacks for when you don't fancy venturing out. The cheese and charcuterie platters (with a bottle of local rosé wine) were our favourites! We didn't have a car so access the beach and the nearby restaurants was about a 15 minute walk along the coastal path and over a small hill but it's worth it. The beach is superb and the sea is perfect for swimming. Just be prepared if it's a hot day (we did the walk nearly everyday and we were definitely fitter by the end of our stay). We used the taxi firm recommended by the hotel when we wanted to go further out and we got to know our driver very well during our stay. The majority of guests seem to only stay for a day or two on their way along the coast so some days the hotel appears blissfully quiet and other days it can get a bit busier but never crowded. I was always able to find a quiet spot to myself and there are enough poolside loungers for all.

Some Gluten free choice of bread at breakfast. Pool could’ve been cleaner a weekend when we arrivedalthough it was back to its usual standard of cleanliness by mid week when we left so might reflect number of people using it at the weekend . Dining room spotless and pool area generally spotless but noticed on a few occasions that a couple of tables outside could’ve been cleared & wiped quicker after late lunches / early evening diners - maybe another member of staff needed on these shifts or after handovers? Otherwise all perfect & most staff friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was great - a good choice of everything. Great coffee. Room very clean, well decorated & very comfortable beds , nice bathroom & lovely towels etc & well stocked mini bar & tea & coffee. Good air con . Lovely sea view & balcony .
