Unfortunately wifi didn't work in the room, there was some noise of the passing trains during the night and the heater in our toilet didn't work (to dry swimming suits).

Staff was very friendly, the room was really big and clean and nicely decorated. Price was really good at this moment (also taking into account the on-going constructions on site). Swimming pool and Jacuzzi outside were amazing.

It doesn’t affect the hotel vibe or noise levels, but it’s located in a high road, with train tracks in the vicinities. But even being a super light sleeper, I slept incredibly, no noise.

The room was very large, bathroom was amazing with great hot tub and walk in shower. Bed was SUPER comfy, absolute blackout room, which makes you loose track of time! Staff is great, always caring about you. I did a “hot pebbles massage” with Veronique, and that was absolutely incredible. Take a walk in the “vagabonds park” just minutes away, have a swim in the lake and eat a great ice cream, with plenty of restaurants to eat.

We were in an attic room with low beams which I banged my head on several times. Shower cubicle with glass door into bedroom is not everyone’s cup of tea! We had to have breakfast in the bedroom as wasn’t busy enough to open dining area? Therefore we had to eat on our bed as no table and chairs in bedroom.

The staff were so accommodating with great energy. Unfortunately it was cold and wet outside but the garden views looked amazing (through the damp haze)

Classic bait and switch routine. Advertised on Booking as a bed and a sofa bed, with possibility to be a triple. When we arrived they wanted an extra EUR50 to make up the sofa bed even though we were 2 people who purposely booked in order to use the 2 beds. The woman at reception was rude and unhelpful and we left. She insisted we should have called them to know this but my feeling is that if the listing is not correct then we shouldn't have to pay an additional charge for a nonexistent 3rd person.

The lake view room probably would have been fine, had they not been so unaccommodating that we left.

No photo on website showing front of property or parking which was doubled up. Apple Maps said this was a beachside location. Air conditioning unit directly above bed which meant you felt congested in the morning. Breakfast was okay. The website for the hotel said there were water sports and mini golf, the other activities it listed said they were off site but didn’t list mini golf and water sports as off site. This will no doubt lead to a barrage of criticism from the owners but they should remember, there are reasons people are disappointed. What is left out from the description shows a deliberate deception, the property also implies it is beside the lake, it is not, there is the pool, some land, a train track , some more land and then the lake. It is a 15 minute walk from the hotel to the lakeside ( as explained by the staff themselves so by their own admission it is not by the lake ). The room we stayed in requires a non return valve on the sink to prevent hot water going down the cold water tap. Had to wash my toothbrush in bottled water as I couldn’t get guaranteed ‘cold’ water from the tap. Lighting in bedroom was either full floodlights or bedside lights that were not suitable for reading. Bitten mosquitoes within 5 mins of entering room, black marble staircase has no handrail which is dangerous and opens them up to litigation should a child fall through the gap. To the owners, it is obvious you have sunk a lot of money into the place, fix the things that people are suggesting to fix.

    The view was nice

The opening time of the pool was too late, and the fact that the property was a 20 minute walk away from the nearest restaurant. In addition - the parking was precarious - double stacked parking requiring a reverse into a main road to get out! One other thing that we thought was very strange - you had to put the tap full on to get hot water. It was a really bad design! and finally - very disappointed to find there was no direct access to the lake from the property.

A luxury place where the standard room is not worth its money.
    • Leisure trip

The room was 20m2 in surface, but only on a few of these square meters, you can actually stand. Several huge wooden beams cross the room diagonally, and the ceiling is at 45 degrees, starting from the floor. Even if you are short, you will hurt your head a few times, and have to bend your knees to see yourself in the mirror whilst shaving. Not a single cupboard to be seen, and little space for luggage. As of 3 stars, a hotel needs to have an elevator. Our room contained a steep staircase immediately behind the door. Another steep stair case between the entry gate and the door of the hotel. Parking is tricky, and standing behind a car, to load it, is actually dangerous as it means standing on a busy road. The lake cannot be reached from the hotel. In summary: not what you expect for 300 euro/night. For the same money, on the same holiday, we had a beautiful spatious 4* room at 2 minutes from the Duomo in Milan.

Good breakfast, friendly staff. View on the lake. Room with both shower and bath. Good airco.

BEAUTIFUL GARDEN AND GREAT VIEW OF THE LAKE, BUT CERTAIN ASPECTS SHOULD BE IMPROVED
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple
    • Superior Double Room
    • Stayed 1 night

There are some structural aspects that should be taken into consideration: • The parking area is very small and uneasy. It is required to leave the key of your car in a locking box at the reception. • The hotel has 4 floors with narrow stairs. There is no elevator, only one lift, more appropriate for goods and merchandise than for customers. • For a reason I still do not understand, there are two receptions, one for check-ins and other for check-outs. This dual reception led us to a certain confusion when we arrived. In my opinion, there are certain aspects in this hotel that should be improved, as I outline below: • The mattresses of the hammocks and furniture in the swimming pool area are discolored and have a yellow / dirty look. • There are many scratches on the wood pavement of the swimming pool area and in the balconies of the rooms as well. • The table in the balcony of our room was stained. Wood lattices separating terraces do not provide sufficient privacy. • The bed was comfortable, king size, but the space at the bottom of the bed was not enough spacious to easy circulate around the bed. • The wardrobe is too small and inappropriately designed. • The bathroom, small and uncomfortable for two persons. With regard the service, I also have certain comments to make: • We ordered two pizzas to have dinner at the room. They were delivered undercooked. • The variety of the buffet for breakfast was not the best. In fact, it used to be much better in past years. Many bees annoying customers while having breakfast in the garden. • At our arrival we were asked to pay the bill in advance. In my opinion, this is quite unusual and makes you feel bad. I was given no reason for this request. Globally speaking and taking into account those aspects above outline, despite the great location and the beautiful garden, pool and bar area, the price of the room, 325 euros one night breakfast included, seems to me expensive considering my expectations.

We stayed one night in this small and hotel (11 rooms) in our way back to Catalonia after spending one week in Switzerland. The hotel is in a beautiful location, very close to the lake Bourget. Most of the rooms have good views of the lake. The tropical garden and the swimming pool area are spacious and very well designed, with sufficient hammocks for everyone. Our superior room (Chambotte) was quite spacious and had a nice balcony with an excellent view over the garden, the swimming pool, and the lake. The employees are kind and ready to support whenever is needed. The hotel, globally speaking, is fine, a good option if you need to stay overnight in the area and even if you want to spend some days as well.

    - Poor service (except at the reception - friendly welcome) - Despite being a hotel guest you are still being charged 20EUR per person to use the swimming pool - no comment!! - The breakfast : arrogant service and limited choice (no scrambled eggs which is a basic request and at 9:45, we were told there was no fruit salad, quite basic breakfast item as well) - and as such really not aligned with the level of the rates that are being applied. - Only money seems to matter in this place - no human touch as one would expect in a boutique hotel.

EDIT to my comment: a general comment to whoever reads this: try and scroll down to the comments and you will notice that every single time a customer "dares" mentioning something negative about this hotel, the hotel never tries to understand or apologize. They are always on the defensive and trying to find excuses. Not he best way to receive feedback and improve. For example, their answer to my comment about not offering any scramble eggs is that we arrived at 9h45 (for a breakfast ending at 10am, so we were still within the allowed time) but the reality is that they are never offering any scrambled eggs anyway, hahaha. Also about their answer on the credit card question, they took a picture of my credit card including the back of the card ... with their iPad camera!!! instead of inserting the card details in a secure software. I had never seen this before. They seriously just took a picture!! How professional is that in terms of data privacy? Not to mention that I had already provided my credit card details via booking.com. Too bad for them, the friend who was with me is a lawyer and they have clearly never heard about the GDPR (privacy law). Anyway, as said, if you post anything that is not up to what they want to hear, be ready to get an answer telling you that it was your fault, that you were a bad guest, as they only know to be on the defensive instead of trying to understand their guests. Too bad because the place is nice (I had actually also listed a number of positive points). - Beautiful view over the lake - Very nice swimming-pool area with nice plants and vegetation - Nice bedroom - Comfortable bed - The owner was nice but he should lower the rates to match the current level of service (or vice-versa). 2 persons next to us at the breakfast area were upset too by the arrogance of the lady. - They did make an effort and cared a bit more after we told them we were not pleased with the level of service so I do recognize the effort.

In brief, it is nowhere near the 4 star standard advertised and poor value for money. The reviews, if you look carefully, I would allege are non genuine. Many phrases repeat, many reviews from French people are in English (?) and apparently lots of reviews from India - where fake reviews are often written - but this does not seem to reflect the main clientele in the region? The trains in front of the rooms are about every 10 minutes, which is not great. The hotel advertising only focuses on the lake view, which is lovely, without mentioning the trains? The rooms - advertised as suites - are tiny! There are also about 15 steps to get to the hotel and effectively no help with the suitcases, i.e. no concierge. This was problematic for us with some very heavy bags. And building works ongoing, as per photos. The food is OK, much seems to be from the microwave and a limited menu. In summary, despite friendly service, it is just nowhere near the 4 star standard advertised and all seems to be built on false advertising...i.e. what appears may be fake reviews, 'suites' that are tiny rooms etc.

    quite stylishly decorated
