Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JapanThe cleaning of the room is inadequate. Towels are not properly washed. And the shower pipe of bathroom was rusted.
It is close to a food market and everything is lovely.

MoldovaAlthough from the outside the building is very clean and well-maintained, inside everything is very old and worn out. Not just dirty, but old and broken- furniture, bathroom facilities, only one electrical outlet working, old dusty bed linen and towels( they changed them every day though).
Absolutely great location, near Monmartre with the view to Basilica Sacre Coer, 80 meters to metro.

New ZealandCould have been bigger, but that is not the point of this hotel. It was perfectly adequate for our needs and price point. Internet could be pumped up in the rooms.
The location was superb and staff very friendly.

United KingdomMy bed was very hard for me but surprisingly somewhat comfortable but the feeling when the night receptionist is not around to let you in when you want to get to your room (as they rightfully close the door at midnight), but he took at least 5 minutes to finally arrive and let me in was such a horrible feeling where I started thinking that I might be sleeping outside and it wasn’t even midnight. This was purely due to him having to be elsewhere which I totally understood afterwards.
The location next to Anvers station is great if like me you are arriving at Gare De Nord station. Only a few stops and a bit of walking between connections made it very easy to get to. Even if you don’t use the Metro it is still very easy to get to from the station. The Eiffel Tower can be seen from some upper rooms which was a welcome sight.

PolandWe had a room √33 on the third floor, you can go up by the elevator, you can take the stairs. Even two people are very cramped in the elevator, so if you have a lot of luggage, you will have to go up and down several times. The rooms are not soundproofed. But we were in the middle of October, when there were few people in the hotel, so we practically did not feel any discomfort. There is a kettle, but there are no glasses or cups. Disposable slippers are also not provided. There is also no refrigerator, but it was not essential for us. There are sockets, but not near the beds, but in the walls at the entrance. The bed is quite comfortable, there are extra pillows and a blanket if it's cold, but it looks very unkempt, like it hasn't been washed in a while. In general, the room is very modest, but this is not a minus, because we were not looking for pomp. But I wanted to see French sophistication. And therefore it will be appropriate to make a small cosmetic repair and replace some accessories to refresh and make the rest more pleasant.
The hotel is located on a fairly quiet street with convenient access to the metro, shops, cafes, and most importantly, a 10-minute walk on Montmartre. Inside, a neat appearance with a reception desk, a cozy corner with breakfast tables, which can be ordered separately for 8 euros (coffee, tea, juice, croissants, baguette, yogurt, jam, butter, cheese, milk, cereal). Very friendly staff, free Wi-Fi is quite fast, you can leave your luggage for any time. The room with the bed and the bathroom are spacious enough for two people to move freely. The bath is compatible with the toilet and has all the amenities: two towels per person and one for the feet, two rolls of toilet paper, enough shampoo and soap sachets for two people for the two nights we stayed. The only negative is the old hair dryer on the wall, which, although it works, lets air through a broken pipe.Towels and bed linen are in good condition, fresh and white. There is a fan for the summer stay, there is a TV, but we did not use it.I really liked that the hotel does not take advance payment, but pays only on the day of arrival. Also, there are no additional deposits, but you only pay an additional local tax of €1.13 per person per night. But it is announced on the website and reminded about this fee at the time of booking. You will be issued an electronic key card, which you do not need to leave at the reception desk. You can hang a sign on the door if you don't have to clean that day.
